FED UP!

Friday around 11:30AM I had the honor and the deep personal satisfaction of putting my very first Sarah Palin bumper sticker on my Durango.  The whole process was something akin to a ceremony celebrating how right the world can sometimes be, and how quickly the evil actions of evil individuals can turn what should be a moment of triumph into something quite bitter-sweet. I thought about the attacks on "Our Sarah" and it made me angry.  I hurt for her.  I hurt for her family, and they are in my prayers - constantly.  George Archibald has a good take on the whole nasty mess.

Political opposition is one thing, as is satire.
Doug Ross has an excellent set of PDS links. Vicious, cruel, blindly nasty attacks that are nothing but an attempt to destroy, completely are another.  They have lied about her. They have attacked her family.  Both Obamas have belittled her.  Their fawning followers in Hollywood, taking the cue, have gone to great lengths to disgrace themselves in an attempt to throw more filth upon their pyre of hatred. Sandra Bernhard went over the top with this public display of graceful, ladylike language.
"...Now you got Uncle Women, like Sarah Palin, who jumps on the s--t and points her fingers at other women. Turncoat b---h! Don’t you *--kin’ reference Old Testament, bitch! You stay with your new Goyish crappy shiksa funky bulls--t! Don’t you touch my Old Testament, you b---h! Because we have left it open for interpre-ta-tion! It is no longer taken literally! You whore in your *--kin' cheap New Vision cheap-ass plastic glasses and your [sneering voice] hair up. A Tina Fey-Megan Mullally brokedown bulls--t moment...."

Have you had the misfortune of listening to the abject filth that came out of the mouth of Sandra Bernhard.  I have never liked her, I will admit that, but what she did, what she said was one of the nastiest things I've ever heard, and I heard the "deleted" version.  Sarah Palin has done nothing to deserve this sort of treatment.  Were we that rough with Bill Clinton?  I know things were a little hostile, but nothing like what is coming out of Hollywood's comedic genius elite.

I think what Bernhard has done is more a commentary on how degenerate this nation has become.  For critics to hail what she did as funny and "genius" is a reflection on the filth that is clogging the sewer of what they consider their elite lives.   Has our society become so vile and so corrupt that it considers something like this acceptable?

In the 1960's after LBJ become POTUS, the actress Eartha Kitt was tacky enough to spew a bit of hatred toward the President while visiting the White House.
"...In 1968, however, Kitt encountered substantial professional setback after she made anti-war statements during a White House luncheon. It was reported that she made First Lady Lady Bird Johnson cry. The public reaction to Kitt's statements were much more extreme, both for and against her statements. Professionally exiled from the U.S., she devoted her energies to overseas performances...."
Her career was ruined.  She was lucky to land a roll in Batman as Catwoman, but then people complained about that.

Barnard and those who spew four letter combinations of words that would cause a movie to be rated "X" deserve nothing less.  For anyone to think her display of filth was funny or creative they must have something wrong with their sense of morality and decency.  Once upon a time in this country, when a decent woman like Sarah Palin was abused by a piece of filth like Bernhard, things would be so dreadful for the abuser that she would be exiled from the country, let alone be allowed to appear in public or on the stage again.

For a candidate for President of the United States of America not to come out and castigate such behavior for what it is, well, that too is beyond comprehension.  It is quite obvious Barack Obama is not worthy of being POTUS simply for his behavior toward Sarah Palin.  It makes one wonder how he treates the women in his life, and feel sorry for his wife, Michelle.  For the leaders of the Democratic Party not to come out and denounce such behavior is appalling in itself. It shows a lack of moral leadership and a complete lack of honor.

Something very disturbing is going on here.  We truly do have two different Americas.  Those of us who live in "Fly-Over" country have a different set of values.  We still treasure our traditional way of live.  We don't need to resort to the spewing of four letter filth to denigrate a political candidate who has raised our ire.  I don't like what I am seeing.  There is something very hard and very alarming about it.  It shows a group of people who have surrendered their moral compass.  They have ejected their honor.  They have no personal decency or they would not personally degrade a decent woman like Sarah Palin.

Quite frankly, I am glad my grandmother Froehlich is no longer here to see this.  It would reduce her to tears.  I'm close to that point myself.  As one of the original backers of "Our Sarah" I am angry.  I am hurt.  I am taking every piece of filth and every nasty slur personally.  Not only is it an attack on a decent and very worthy woman, but it is an attack on me.  It is an attack on every moral, upright woman in this nation.

I think the time has come for us to fight back.

It is also time to call this what it is - pure evil - nothing more, nothing less.

Atlas Shrugs does an excellent job of taking out Charlie Rangel.  Then there is the media driven Trooper-Gate.  No longer content to sit on the sidelines and privately root for their beloved candidates of choice, the MSM now openly plots to destroy Sarah Palin in hopes that Brack Obama can rid the world of the evil and dastardly George W. Bush.  They seem to forget (as does The One) that The One is running against John McCain, not George W. Bush.  The real problem - I think the Brits have it right - "Our Sarah" may be this country's version of Diana

J. R. Dunn, in American Thinker likens her to an Archetype of the stalward frontiers'woman i.e. my personal favorite - Maureen O'Hara.  (Look, I watched too many of her movies when I was a kid and just 'had' to have her red hair color).  The irony here is that Maureen O'Hara is Irish, and not even an American!  But, I guess playing opposite John Wayne for so many years, it sorta rubbed off on her.

Personally, I would much rather be compared to one of Maureen O'Hara's wonderful characters who were strong.  They were beautiful.  The woman she played did not allow themselves to be put down by anyone, no matter who.  They were strong-willed.  They were original.  They were glamorous when need be.  And, she always "got" the handsome hero in the end. Why - because she was strong!

I usually do not link to or quote anything from the WTimes because of the Sun Myung Moon connection.  This said, I am going to mention today's piece by Andrew Breitbart on PDS.
"...Palin Derangement Syndrome, a more irrational variant of the Bush contagion, doesn't require sufferers to know anything about the subject of their hatred. Anonymous, unsourced rumors fuel the fire (book banning, speaking in tongues, creationism, etc.). Lovely family photos hacked from a personal e-mail account displayed on commercial Web sites push more buttons. Asterisks from Mrs. Palin's biographical sketch - "moose hunter," "small-town mayor," "wife of champion snow machine racer" - cause excessive sweating and irregular heartbeats. She even fired a guy who Tased a 10-year-old. (Oh wait, she didn't.)

What will happen when they find out she shops at Wal-Mart?..."
