LIBERALS GONE WILD
I was planning to write about something else today, until I saw this "abomination" from the HuffPost. Then I realized that the author is Greg Gutfeld, who  is completely out of his mind (in a wonderful sick sort of way).  In this satirical piece he exposes liberals for the morons they are, when it comes to Sarah Palin.  They're like spoiled, nasty, filthy little children who are having a temper tantrum because their mother figure (Palin) is going to read them the riot act, send them to bed without any supper, ground them, and then throw ice cold glacial water in their stupid little faces. And knowing the way Gutfeld's mind works...oye!
"...Calling Sarah Palin a murderer might seem a stretch.  At first....Palin was "born" in Sandpoint, Idaho - but for murky reasons fled to Alaska - a well-timed move considering that only a decade or so later, Sandpoint would become a destination for like-minded travelers called the Aryan Nations. The organization claims to have disbanded in 2001 - a "fact" Palin might want us to believe, as she made more than several visits back to Idaho - for what observers call "schooling." Not necessarily an advocate of "white power," it is safe to say that Palin is white, and full of power.

That's what some skeptics might call "convenient."

Either way, at a tender age, and despite the "grooming," she wasn't expressing her views on the master race just yet. If anything, she was mastering her own race (5k's) - and gearing up for something more explosive: the lurid practice known in many parts as moose hunting. Because moose are plenty, they are currently categorized as "lowest risk" on conservation status charts, making them an even easier target for people like Palin, who own guns. Not willing to accept the tougher challenges of targeting scarcer animals like condors or spotted owls, she opted to kill the low-hanging fruit. Lucky for us, in Alaska, humans are few.

It has been alluded in many places that Sarah was captain of the school's basketball team, playing point guard - a position that might have been filled by an African American had there been an actual African American in Alaska. Palin is said to have hit a last-second free throw to win the game. Tracking down witnesses to this event proves difficult - because there are so many...."
Now, let's just see how long it takes for unhinged liberals to take Gutfeld seriously.  Some will. As if to prove my point, the Philly Inquirer has a piece about how intolerant Palin's part of the tundra really is.  It is by Catherine McNicol Stock, yet another elitist.  She mirror's Gutfeld's piece, but where Gutfeld is satirical and making fun of peole like Stock, she is deadly serious.
"...Despite her efforts to portray herself as an average, small-town, "folksy" American, Sarah Palin's political views - ardently pro-gun, pro-censorship, antichoice and antigay - make John McCain's conservative credentials pale in comparison. What few observers have said, however, is these beliefs are not just extreme - they are radical, and even bear a comparison with some of the most notorious "rural radicals" of our time.

It has been years since groups such as the Montana Militia, the Posse Comitatus and the Sagebrush Rebels, and individuals such as Terry Nichols and Ted Kaczynski have made us wonder why so many "angry white men" populated our rural regions. Many of us have forgotten the threat once posed by domestic terrorists and instead have turned our attention to foreign terrorists. But we should never forget that in the late 20th century, ultra-Christian, antistatist and white-supremacist groups flourished in the states of the Pacific Northwest - called by many the "Great White Northwest" - the very region that Sarah Palin and her family call home.

Demographics most basically define this geographic region. In the six states that make up the Pacific Northwest - Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska - only six counties are more than 5 percent African American. Not by coincidence, each of these counties is also near an important military installation with many African American men and women. Even so, barely more than 3,000 blacks lived in all of Idaho in 2000....Other groups, like the Aryan Nation, with headquarters in Hayden Lake, Idaho, actively planned to rid the United States of African Americans, Jews, and other "non-Aryan" peoples. A few carried out their plans, murdering Jewish radio host Alan Berg in Denver, the Goldmark family in Seattle, an African American state trooper in Arkansas, Fish and Wildlife officials and FBI agents in Wyoming, North Dakota and Montana, and more than 160 federal employees and their children in Oklahoma City.

There is no evidence that Palin was ever affiliated with white-supremacist groups during her years in Idaho or at home in Alaska. On the other hand, the beliefs of ultraconservative, evangelical churches like her family's come dangerously close to those of the Christian Identity movement of those years. Likewise, Palin's husband was a member of a political party whose members favored secession for Alaska, suggesting an affiliation with radical antistatism..."

According to CBS, the media created Sarah Palin and the media will destroy her.  They did not do the former.  I know the true story.  They are certainly attempting the latter.  One of the most interesting commentaries about Palin comes from Joseph Sternberg, whowrites in today's WSJ's Political Diary:

"...I had to chuckle at the charge in the New York Times that Sarah Palin had hired "cronies" from her high school when she was governor -- in a small state, that's hard not to do, and even harder in Alaska where recruiting from out of state is a special challenge. I had to smile too at the alleged claim from a campaign contributor that he'd used his "influence" with Mrs. Palin to get the head of the town museum fired. Not only does the contributor deny the story, but any veteran of small town politics will tell you it's rife with colorful characters who sometimes think they wield more influence than they actually do. A lot about the New York Times' front-page dissection of Sarah Palin's Alaska record on Sunday brought back memories of my own experiences growing up in a small town in a rural state. My erstwhile hometown, Rutland, Vt. (pop. 17,000), itself recently went through similar personnel upheaval following the election of a mayor and city treasurer determined to run the city more efficiently. And who knows what the Times would have made of a controversy in the 1990s about whether the town library should shelf "Daddy's Roommate," a children's book about same-sex couples? The point being, the kind of small-town politics the Times describes would only come as news to, well, the New York Times. There may yet be undiscovered dirt in Mrs. Palin's Wasilla record, but on the evidence so far, her experiences will be pretty recognizable to many Americans. Contrast that with Barack Obama's mysterious record as a "community organizer" -- I don't remember many of those in Rutland...."
Sternberg points out something terribly important.  The differences between the "coasts" and fly-over country have never been more glaring. Camille Paglia also nails itThe Left is exposed the way the Emperor was with his glorious new clothes.  He was naked.  That's the way the Left is, currently.  Now we're dealing with a group of people who probably like being naked in public, but they don't like being exposed when they don't want to be exposed.  They want to do the exposing the way an aging flasher gets his thrills.
"...As has been noted by many conservative writers and talk show hosts, Governor Palin represents the threat of an earth shattering power shift away from the Left, which supports government solutions and a nanny state to a message of self-reliance, empowerment and independent success. Governor Palin represents the American Dream. She comes from humble beginnings and has paid her dues to get where she is without any power brokers or party machines to help her get there and certainly without “Big Brother’s” hand. In fact, Governor Palin has had to fight her own party to get where she is.

Obama on the other hand has been guided and propped up by a wide range of radical Left Wing party bosses dating back to the radical Khalid al-Mansour (ties to Saudi Arabia and other things) terrorist William Ayers, Rezko, Reverend Wright, etc., etc. The boring laundry list of Obama’s disgraceful associates has been blogged about endlessly, yet Barry would be nothing without these miscreants.  And don’t forget the help of a friendly media complicit in hiding anything about Obama that might threaten his candidacy. Even with such a slobbering media man-crush, this candidate can barely keep even with McCain..."
How long is this going to last?  A former Democrat, now Republican has been emailing me with information about Barack Obama and her take on the liberal world.  She's from one of the more liberal northern states.  I mentioned that Democrats were going nuts because they are losing.  She corrected me to the point where I realize we are dealing with the liberal version of far right extremists like the Ron Paul bots.  Okay, makes sense.  But then - why is the MSM going along with it?  Are they in love with Barack Obama or are they that much against another four years of GOP rule in the White House?
