Friday Night Filthy Gin Martini Blogging - "Doc Holiday" to Run for NM Governor?

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

ONLY IN NEW MEXICO: First there was The Gipper. Then came The Governator. Is "Doc Holiday" next? The Dems are denigrating Sarah Palin for being "inexperienced". Now I'm reading (from Heath Haussaman) that Val Kilmer (Doc Holiday) is considering a run for governor here in NM in 2010. He is registered as an independent.

I have a good half dozen huge olives sliced in the martini along with some crushed ice, shaken, not stirred. I'm in the process of trying to create something I really like. This time I put a bit of vermouth in it. ... more »

Sally Vee sent this to me from Catholic Vote.Com. Watch it, then go over to Electoral Vote Count and see who is ahead today. We're at 270 today. Four years ago GWB was at 233. No wonder Obama is in a snit.

Everyone likes to talk a good game when it comes to education and 'the young' but no one has the courage to address one of the worst problems in education today: zero tolerance. Innocent little lives are being traumatized, brutalized - all in the name of safety. On Hilton Head Island the other day, a 10 year old kid has been suspended and treated like a criminal for altering a pencil sharpener and taking the dangerous and deadly blade to school. The extreme anti-immigration usual sources are determined to find a way to convict the fiance of Luis Ramirez who was brutally attacked and murdered by local high school football heroes in Shenandoah, PA. They are determined to find something wrong with Crystal Dillman. She is damned because she was cited for driving without a driver's license. She had not lost one, had no DUI, etc., she just did not have a "Valid" driver's license. From what I gather about Shenandoah, I would question their version of "valid". We are all so busy watching the MSM attack Sarah Palin and the McCain Campaign and wallow in the joy that is Barack Obama's enlightened campaign that we have a tendency to forget or ignore the fact that local politics can be just as nasty as national politics. Local newspapers can be just as biased and warped as national ones. Here in Lincoln County, we're dealing with that on a constant basis. We have a "newspaper" here in town that is a joke, literally.
