The Pink Flamingo :: Barack Obama Shouldn't Be Allowed to Tell Jokes As Democrats Become UnHinged

The dirty little secret of the Obama Campaign and the Democrats in general is they're obsessed with Sarah Palin. They're stalking her. They're going through her trash. They're following her friends and her family. If this weren't political they could do time for stalking. If this were something other than politics they would be absolutely terrifying! Fortunately it is political. While they are out to destroy Sarah Palin and her family, and send a Godfather style message to anyone who gets in their way, they're not stalking. It is obvious their attacks on Palin are intentional. If the media was trying to be fair and balanced why haven't they exposed the exploits of Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley?

Then there are liberals like Maureen Dowd who needs a time out. What's going on with liberal women? Are they so much in love with Barack Obama, so fantacized by him that they are becoming unhinged? Where we once thought they were a little over the top when it came to defending Bill Clinton, this is just plain crazy. Dowd has reached the point where she's buring a heck of a lot of bridges. Frankly, I find this column one of the most insulting things I've ever read. Would she do this if the GOP VP candidate was a man? Of course she would.

Does she want a federal ban on trans fat in restaurants and a ban on abortion and Harry Potter? And which books exactly would have landed on the literature bonfire if she had had her way with that Wasilla librarian? Just how is it that Fannie and Freddie have cost taxpayers money (since they haven’t yet)? Does she talk in tongues or just eat caribou tongues?..."

The Carol Fowler comment is about right for the SC Democratic Party. It is morally and financially bankrupt. I think the best comment comes from the netorious SC blog FTS. (I did not say this - FTS did)

South Carolina Democrats need to shut up while they're behind. They're only getting themselves into more trouble. Oye! But then, they're just like other Democrats who have put their entire soul into the candidacy of Barack Obama.

They've almost sold their souls. There is something wrong with being a Christian. There is something wrong with hunting. There is something wrong with being a working mom. There is something wrong with women working outside of the home. She's not a member of the elite. Since she's from Alaska she obviously knows nothing of the world.

Right now, the Obama Campaign is disparate for attention to the point where the nominee will do just about anything to get media attention. He's like a little kid having a temper tantrum. So, why not accuse John McCain of lying and doing 'swiftboat' politics.

I think we can safely put an end to the "Barack Obama is a Muslim" smear. Even if he were the "Manchurian Candidate", a closet Muslim, a closet Islamist, or just a normal everyday pretender, would he have even used the world "pig"? A good every day (even closeted) Muslim would not be throwing the word "pig" around, even in humor. It's a dirty word - one of the worst three letter words there is, if you are Islamic.

Barack Obama is guilty of not having a healthy sense of humor. He takes himself too seriously. He can't ab lib. He is not a smart ass. If you aren't a smart ass, you shouldn't try making a smart ass comment. It doesn't work. I'm a smart ass. I know one when I see one. I know people who take themselves too seriously. They aren't funny. Barack Obama is not funny. There is nothing wrong with not being funny. That's life. Some of us are (The Pink Flamingo included) and some of us aren't (The Pink Flamingo's sister).

Team Obama has worse problems. They've dissed the Girl Scouts! When a campaign is going good they can do no wrong, when it's not going well, no matter what a candidate tries, it isn't going to work. It's just like baseball. When a team gets and loses momentum, that's about all there is to it. When a hitter is in a slump, it doesn't matter what he does, he's going to be in that slump until he gets out of it. The more he tries, the worse it gets. It's a matter of timing. It's a matter of getting one's grove back. I've seen it year after year, especially in the World Series. Look at The Big Red Machine in the 1970's. They would ruin their opponants during the regular season, then go down in flames. It's life.

Barack Obama needs to lighten up and quit throwing digs at Sarah Palin. He's digging himself into a whole. He's falling and can't get up. Hillary Clinton should be ready with a great big "I Told You So"! He needs to get over his obsession with Sarah Palin before it destroys his campaign. On Letterman he said she was just another pretty face. Maybe he is simply clueless. StrataSphere:

Obama keeps digging his hole, and laughing with the master Frat Boy himself on TV. Just words, just lipstick. There is nothing to Palin other than her lipstick. Obama is simply a dipstick..."
