There are two important days on the cat calender. The first is the day the Christmas tree is hauled in and all those luscious boxes full of tissue paper are right there, waiting for a pounce. Happy Plant Day is the 2nd most important Cat Holiday of the year. On Happy Plant Day all the houseplants that have been outside all summer are brought inside. This year, it is Bubbles first Happy Plant Day. As you can see by the photo, she is making the most of the experience. Tomorrow is her big birthday bash! She is ... more »

THE TUESDAY EDITION
This is really bad. It is apocalyptic. It is pure duplicity. I am shocked, shocked to see that someone other than my 78 year old (age deleted due to threats) mother would do something like this. Okay, look. You need to sit down for this one. I think I would also suggest a stiff drink, because this is going to leave you shaken, not stirred.
Are you ready - here it comes: Just breath. You can do it. According to the Huff Post, the Wonkette received a hot tip that - oh dear Lord in heaven ... more »

BARACK OBAMA & THE TRUTH There is a very good reason why the MSM is ignoring the LIES OF BARACK OBAMA. They are his pawing lap-dogs. Giving FOX News the benefit of the doubt for not exposing the Stalinist-Marxist tactics of the Obama Campain is simple. They need to expose the same thing from the McCain Campaign. Unfortunately, because John McCain is running a decent and honorable campaign, Obama gets a pass. Or is something else going on? The post that explains what started it all comes from Mac'sMind. He asks why is the media blind to Obama? A ... more »

RUSSIA, VENEZUELA & OBAMA'S MARXIST FRIENDS
Do you remember a few years ago when Hugo Chavez first came to power and he was hailed as a heroic figure by Jimmy Carter? I just thought I would remind all the little Obamaites, but then they probably think Carter is a heroic figure. We've been paying for Jimmy Carter's stupidity since 1980. Just a little FYI as the MSM is preparing to elect a President who is even more incompetent than Jimmy Carter.
One of the stories that is being completely ignored during the banking crises is the fact that Russia is ... more » Monday, September 29

![]() Miss Beverly Sills, AKA Bubbles Silverman (when she is in trouble - which is always) was born about a year ago. Because we do not know the exact date of her birth, Bubbles has declared this day to be the celebration of her birth. The party is on Wednesday. You are invited to Bubbles Big Bodaciously Bad Birthday Bash as party of our usual Thursday Thirteen.

PDS - THE MONDAY EDITION
McCain: This
is not the first time that I've seen a governor being questioned by
some quote, "expert." I remember that Ronald Reagan was a "cowboy."
President Clinton was a governor of a very small state that had "no
experience" either. (laughter) I remember how easy it was gonna be for
Bush I to defeat him. I still recall, whoops, that one. But the point
is I've seen underestimation before. I'm very proud of the excitement
that Gov. Palin has ignited with our party and around this country. It
is a … level of excitement ... more »

AN IMPORTANT FIRST Space Exploration Technologies, SpaceX launched a dummy payload into space! Falcon 1, a liquid fuel rocket carried a 364 payload into space.
"...The booster stands 68 feet tall (21 meters) tall and is designed to haul payloads of up to about 1,256 pounds (570 kg) to low-Earth orbit. For Sunday night's launch, it carried a simple, 364-pound (165-kg) mass simulator that mimicked an actual satellite.
Musk said his team nicknamed the mock satellite Ratsat — it's emblazoned with a rat logo — and it should stay in orbit between five and 10 years. "This ... more »

SOMETHING SMELLS? I seem to remember saying that something about the timing of this whole financial crises bugs me. I must put a disclaimer on this, very quickly. I am a financial idiot. All I really know about money is it takes a heck of a lot of it to feed my shoe addiction. My other rule of thumb is that I rarely write checks because my dyslexia is so bad. If I transpose just a couple numbers, I'm overdrawn. Perhaps I am just giving in to Democratic induced paranoia, or am simply exhausted after such a long weekend, but ... more » Sunday, September 28

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 ![]() Today was a remarkable day, complete with a remarkable miracle. The Lord works in very strange ways. I have a friend, Janice Hendricks, who is the editor of the Tombstone Times. Below is her story. "Please read and consider sponsoring our team for this event. My interest in this is more personal than I ever imagined it could be and my heartfelt thanks go out to all who will send a warm thought of healing for my daughter along with anything shared for this cause.

LET SARAH BE SARAH I was discussing Sarah Palin's little media problem today with my RNC friend. He says he's never seen anyone be treated so very badly by the press or the Democrats than Sarah Palin. My friend is also complaining about the growing litany that the McCain Campaign needs to let Sarah Palin be Sarah Palin and leave her alone to be herself. IF YOU BELIEVE THIS

I've had two major posts I've been working on for today just disappear - not really, but when I go to save and preview the whole post ends up deleted. Consequently, there is only one post for today. I spent a week working on my vote fraud post, which is no more. Same thing on Obama's lies. Poof - gone. This was very much a long, miserable day. I have no earthly idea what a humongous prime number, but it sounds terrifying. Some interesting archaeological discoveries have been made in Sweden lately. AS MY GRANDFATHER WOULD SAY My grandfather Froehlich had a saying that there were some people who would not know (a barn yard substance that comes from animals, including male bovine critters) if they had a mouthful. Thank heavens John McCain is not one of those people. He knows Bull Sh** when he hears it. I want to go on record that I echo John McCain's sentiments. I think I uttered the same phrase several times last night while The One was speaking. It is at 4:30 into the clip. Trackposted to Cao's Blog, Rosemary's Thoughts, Wingless... more »

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
![]() I've been watching these debates since Reagan. I think John McCain was the most prepared of any candidate I've ever seen. My humble opinion is that he did unto Barack Obama what Loyd Benson did to Dan Quayle. Evidently the in the tank media thinks Obama won. The way I feel today, I don't know if it even matters. The MSM is going to do everything possible to see that Obama wins and that Sarah Palin is destroyed.

HOW TO DESTROY A DECENT WOMAN The Pink Flamingo's regular readers know when I agree with Kathryn Jean Lopez we're getting a little disparate around here. This is one of those times. We all agree that Palin looked terrible in the CBS interview with Katie Couric. If the conservtive blogsphere had been willing to defend Palin maybe they would have found the edits from that interview:
"...(2:58) Couric: What, specifically, in your view, could be done to convince the new government in Pakistan to take a harder, tougher line against terrorists in that country?

UP AND DOWN
Are you expecting to see John McCain win this evening? Don't even bet on it. The fix is in and there's no way he's even going to get a fair break. There is no way Sarah Palin is going to get a break. Certain conservatives have decided that she's history. The whole plan is to get rid of John McCain. Let's face it, the don't have a chance. The world, MSM, FOX, and the Universe have decided Barack Obama is going to be #44. It's that simple. It doesn't matter that he is incompetent. It just doesn't ... more » Thursday, September 25

I did not even score 50%. I can't believe it. If there was a test for shoe-aholics. Oh, I just forgot, I need to go buy my niece a birthday present! I'm humiliated about flunking the shopping test.

INSULTING MELANOMA SURVIVORS EVERYWHERE
CANCER SURVIVORS As a 10 year melanoma survivor, I am absolutely furious about the most recent Obama ad. Granted it is from a 3rd party, PAC, founded by Howard Dean's brother, but still it is part of the Obama-Dean Machine. Coming from someone with a medical background, it is a mass of abject ignorance, which is enough to make anyone who has had to deal with the horrors of melanoma - well, speechless. I've seen some nasty, vicious, cruel, and vile things before in my life, but this strikes at the heart of anyone who is ... more »

COWARDLY CONSERVATIVES OF THE CONGRESS Last night I
emailed a friend about something that bugs me. I know it
is silly and stupid, but a teacher of mine once said that the only bad
question is the one not asked. So, I am asking it.
Am I the only one
who finds the timing of this "financial crash" a but
peculiar? Sunday morning, in a fit of depression that is
making me feel rather bi-polar about this whole election cycle, I
called my mother. (When all else fails phone home).

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 Have you ever had one of those mornings when you knew something bad was going to happen? This morning I woke up thinking someone I cared about was going to die today. Well, it happened. A dear friend, Bonnye Rich, finally lost her battle with congestive heart failure. She "went" beautifully, in her sleep during the night. She and her husband, Tim, were married well over 50 years. Tim's not handling things well, so please keep him and their family in your prayers.

WE ARE THE ONE
President Bush has asked Barack Obama to return to DC to work on the financial problems facing our nation. Is Obama going to thumb his nose at the President? He needs to remember that GWB is still POTUS until January 20 or so. He has talked down the economy, Sarah Palin and John McCain. After all, we are The One. That's all anyone needs to know. His marxist-socialist friends don't matter. His associations with a convicted felon don't matter. All that matters is the fact that he is the Chosen One.

COUNTRY FIRST
MCCAIN: America this week faces an historic crisis in our financial system. We must pass legislation to address this crisis. If we do not, credit will dry up, with devastating consequences for our economy. People will no longer be able to buy homes and their life savings will be at stake. Businesses will not have enough money to pay their employees. If we do not act, ever corner of our country will be impacted. We cannot allow this to happen.

23 ![]() There has been another Canadian bus stabbing. George Archibald is one of my favorite writers, conservative, Episcopalian, he is honest to the point where he shoots himself in the foot. (I feel his pain). Today, he has a story that breaks my Episcopalian heart. I don't know how much longer this liberal barrage against my church can continue. It has left me in tears. I love my church, but the way Archibald has laid out the attack against "conservative" bishops is enough to make me re-think some of my positions. I don't want to leave the church. ... more »

HELL HATH NO FURY
Larry Sinclair, the alleged former lover of Barack Obama is back with a vengeance generally making enough of a pest of himself to start getting on the nerves of Obamaites everywhere. He still claims that a brief romance and dabble in the fruit of the coca plant occurred. No matter how much the man is harassed he has not backed down from his position about the encounter. This time, though, he is doing something that could be a bit of a public service, exposing voter fraud in the Obama Campaign.

ARE THE POLLS WRONG?
Yesterday, when the Rasmussen polls showing Barack Obama with a slight advantage in "battleground" states were released the information was all over the place. As I mentioned in my previous post, something has a slight odor. I used my knowledge of South Carolina as an example. Because I've been involved in local politics in South Carolina most of my life, I know a bad poll when I see one. I also referenced the fact that the SC Democratic Party is basically bankrupt, both morally and financially.

SOMETHING SCREWY? Are you beginning to wonder about some of these polls? There's something that just doesn't seem quite kosher here. I think it's rather obvious that our various MSM outlets are manipulating their polls to make Barack Obama appear as though he is winning. One of the most recent is the CNN poll that has Barack Obama leading John McCain when it comes to handling the economy. We are also told that the poll was conducted over the weekend (prime Dem time, with 909 registered voters and 697 likely voters being questioned. It is not weighted by party. Consequently, ... more »
