This afternoon when I went out to get into the Durango one of Grand Mommy Cat's 4 kittens (I'd say 10 weeks old or so), a cute little black and white tuxedo, dashed over to the Durango and jumped up on the tire.  He then disappeared into the motor.  I blew the horn.  It did no good.  I opened the hood and found him cowering in left hand corner up by the lights.  It took a few minutes for me to convince him he would be much better off with his siblings.  He agreed and fled back ...   more »

EVEN HANNITY LIKES IT?
You aren't seeing much play time for the "Gang of 10" Compromise on Energy. Senators Kent Conrad (D-North Dakota), Saxby Chambliss (R-Georgia), John Thune (R-South Dakota), Johnny Isakson (R-Georgia), Bob Corker (R-Tennessee), Blanche Lincoln (D-Arkansas), Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana), Mark Pryor (D-Arkansas), and Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) have joined togther to come up with a fascinating plan for our energy independence.  I've noticed, here in New Mexico, GOP candidate Steve Pearce is running his first Senatoral campaign commerial that goes along with the proposals from the Gang of 10.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the GOP members of Congress have tapped into something with their protest against Nancy Pelosi?  The latest Gallup numbers show there is a window, just a small one, but there is a window of opportunity to make some inroads in the House this year.  I think the American people want to see a little bit of courage.  And, like Medved pointed out yesterday on his show, they don't like to vote for "angry" people.  If they can keep their heads....
