FRIDAY, AUGUST 29
I did not sleep last night.  There was no way I could, after hearing that Palin was the one.  I think I stayed up until about 3:30 like a little kid at Christmas.  I kept waking up every thirty minutes or so and turning on the news to see if it was official.  Finally, about 7AM I gave up and grabbed a quick shower.  I did not want to miss anything.  Right about now I think I'm a little punchy.  Today was the parents' 57th anniversary.  We went out for dinner, which is why the summery is ...   more »

Sarah Palin is the mother of five, including an infant son, Trig, who was born with Down Syndrome. Her oldest son, Track, is an infantryman headed soon to Iraq or Afghanistan. This story ...   more »
