The Pink Flamingo :: Censorship, Thuggery, or the Supercilious Audicity of Barack Obama

There have been rumors of threats and intimidation against Hillary supporters by the Obamans for some months. A few weeks ago we were warned that anyone donating to GOP and conservative sources could be subjected to intense personal scrutiny. In other words, anyone who dares to donate could basically be subjected to blackmail or prosecution - stop contributing OR ELSE! All this reeks of something a bit unsettling. Then, something occurred last night that was a bit chilling if you consider it as organized Democratic intimidation of a writer and the First Amendment. On the other hand, if you look it in the vein of the same intimidation by Ron Paul Bots, then is it simply the way politics are practiced these days?

It is entirely possible the degredation of manners and basic human decency has reached the point where a group of political associates can basically gather together and attempt a mob related act of intimidation. Or is it a little of both? Is it a reflection of the candidate? With Ron Paul Bots, we know his mindless minions are a mirror reflection. If we look at Barack Obama in the vein of Ron Paul and supporters, it is a bit terrifying. Indeed any coordinated attack on the First Amendment can be chilling.

Perhaps the real problem is the fact that as Republicans, we are concerned about Barack Obama's Marxist associates. Instead of going onto the Stanley Kurtz incident, I'm going to provide a few links. It is apparent that Barack Obama has learned the lessons of his Marxist associates well, and has attempted to stop opposition writers from exercising their First Amendment rights.

Deal with it yourself. It terrifies me, as does the apparent mob mentality of the average Obama supporter. Mobs terrify me becasue they have the potential of those involved to surrender their ability to think for themselves and take direction from a puppet-master. Ed Lansky writes in the American Thinker:

"...The Obama campaign has tonight again demonstrated that it will try to silence voices with which it does not agree. This should chill all Americans, for it offers a preview of the tactics to which a President Obama might harness the power of the federal government. The means chosen include harassment of television stations running the 527 group Ayers ad, a demand for a Justice Department investigation, and just last night, disruption of a radio talk show in Chicago that dared have Dr. Stanley Kurtz of National Review, who has been examining the archives of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, in which Bill Ayers and Barack Obama worked as colleagues...."

If Lansky is correct, and I do fear he is, we're dealing with mob mentality. I listened to the Obama coronation speech and was impressed by the petty nature of the speech and his abject lack of knowledge of how things actually work. It is about class warfare. I suppose this is part what-ever in the ongoing saga of why Democrats annoy me. They are a mass, a mob, reminiscent of the mindless morass of unthinking and perhaps tortured souls who helped butcher an entire social class in France a couple of hundred years ago. In that way they terrify me. Mobs are all impulse and violence. There is no thinking, they are just propelled by some invisible handler.

One of the problems with Barack Obama and with your average Democrat is they are prone to promoting class warfare. John McCain is evil because he is rich, therefore he cannot be allowed to be President of the United States. Funny how that only applies to Republicans. JFK was rich. FDR was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth. LBJ did the same thing Big Mac did and married very well. Do you hear Dems decry LBJ for marrying Lady Bird? Of course we are dealing with morons who don’t know much if anything about history, so I don’t even know how to counter their socialist-Marxists arguments.

John McCain is rich and must be destroyed.

Evidently the “rich” Republican has no right to be President of the United States. Evidently rich Republicans have no right to exist at all.

Strange isn’t it?

This is nothing but a way to take a swipe at a candidate and hiding it as class warfare. It has nothing to do with class warfare, but a way to hammer a good man, and think that the American people are stupid enough to go along with it.

America’s greatness is in the unlimited dream. This is a land where a geeky kid can tinker with junk in his dad’s garage, drop out of college and go on to become the richest man in the world.
