Very Serious Prayer Request

A week ago my cousin, Julia Reidhead, was swimming in the Hamptons. She was caught in that horrible freak current that killed at least a half dozen people. She broke the 5th vertebra in her neck. The following is from her sister, Sarah.

HIT FIRST & HIT HARD

There are those with weak stomachs who are already complaining about John McCain’s frontal attack on Barack Obama this week. There is a very old rule in politics. If you do not define your opponent first, they are going to define you.
For a good six weeks or so the Obama campaign has tried to define John McCain.

Old
Senile
Losing Republican Support
Racist
Wes Clark hit him on his military experience.

THE HOUSE BLEW IT

Let's just file this under the topic of what's new? (the sarcastic version). Once again the Republicans in the US House of Representatives blew one of the most perfect moments in House history. All they needed to do was dare Nancy Pelosi to have them arrested! They were so close to doing something really great when they started their protest. It was a beautiful moment. They gave me hope.
