Tomorrow is the very best day of the year if you live in Lincoln County, New Mexico. The moment the million dollar horse race is over, there is a solid line of tail-lights as the tourists high-tail it back to the low country, i.e. Texas. The Pink Flamingo kitties threw a surprise c-nip bash for Doc Holiday today. A good time was had by all. (Note, my carpet looks terrible. (I have an opinion of people who live below sea-level and keep expecting the Feds to bail them out (literally, figuratively, and financially). It is not charitable. If said storm hits where said storm is predicted to hit, some of the rebuilt and being rebuilt areas around New Orleans will probably be flooded. It is politically correct for tax-payers to demand that farmers who live in the low lying areas of the Mississippi flood plain not be allowed to rebuild in a flood prone area. I turned the heater on in the Durango this afternoon! That's the first time I've turned it on since last winter. It has been raining on and off all afternoon. My skylight is still leaking.

There is this myth that liberals and Democrats are diverse, tolerant, and very kind people who are willing to accept different ideas. They love minorities. Liberals are a safe haven for women. They aren't bigots. They love all cultures. Liberals would never do or say anything that would bring grief to another person, group of people, minority, or entity. That would not be enlightened. It is every family's worst nightmare. Your sibling's getting a divorce. She's been living with with veiled threats and verbal abuse for years. You never knew about it. Now that you do, and the story is out in the open, in many ways, all you have are prayers for safety. The cops can't do anything about it. They don't step in unless there is an actual record of threats. Better if the guy's kills your sister. Then (maybe) they can do something about it then.

I did not sleep last night. There was no way I could, after hearing that Palin was the one. I think I stayed up until about 3:30 like a little kid at Christmas. I can only handle Democrats for so long. It reminds me of something I once asked Fr. Ron. "Is it okay to hate Democrats?" There have been rumors of threats and intimidation against Hillary supporters by the Obamans for some months. Regular Pink Flamingo readers are probably aware of my ongoing battle with Windstream Telecom. They are incompetent - not the repair guys, but the DSL tech support. Naturally it is out-sourced to India. The usual racist dribble is people in India are good at computers and science. I have friends from India who are just that, but the people employed by Windstream are IDIOTS! My DSL service is still being knocked off line during the evening. It must be terribly frustrating for a Democrat in South Carolina who is trying to take on Lindsey Graham. Of course, turn-about is fair play. Thank God for John McCain! He wants to keep the shuttle infrastructure going past 2010 until wa have a viable replacement. He wants a strong space program! I spent the day working on credit card fraud. I finally completed the paperwork for Capital One. Then, I checked my bank statement. Yep, the same company had hit my fairly new debit card. Obnoxious 9/11 Truther Alex Jones got the best of Michelle Malkin. He is a loud, vile individual, who reminds me of a cur dog who needs to have its barker removed. This said, Mz Malkin, in search of a headline and a story, became the story, her little self when Jones and his tawdry bunch of associates recognized her. As much as I dislike Michelle Malkin and thing that some of Jones’ accusations had a ring of truth about them, no one, needs to be treated the way she was.

Once again I am having problems with Windstream Telecom. It sucks. I am being kicked on and off my DSL on a regular basis to the point where it is almost impossible to do a regular post and research what I'm doing. This has been ongoing since Friday, which is one of the reasons for the hit/miss nature of my postings.
