Have you noticed what the major topic of conversation is across the nation? While Barack Obama wants to think the whole world is talking about him, and we're being treated to doom and gloom, the real conversation is about Starbucks. Is ours closing? Which one in Roswell will survive? (They're closing the one by Wallyworld). Well, we're saved here in Ruidoso. Ours is staying open. I emailed one of The Pink Flamingo's readers earlier this evening that Obama is starting to believe his own press. When that happens, a person will soon be toast. The American people don't like arrogance or fakes. Barack Obama is a fake. Unfortunately he is getting 50% more media coverage than John McCain. When one considers how close the polls are, it makes you wonder how far ahead McCain would be if Obama were treated like McCain is being treated. There are some fascinating forums online dealing with the Wild West. I think the best one is moderated by a friend, James Wright. Earlier today James emailed that there was a heated discussion about one of my books, A Church for Helldorado, Endicott Peabody's 1882 Earp Era Tombstone Diary.
