LAURA'S MISFORTUNE

I know it isn't nice to laugh at someone's misfortune.  I don't like Laura Ingraham any more than I like Ann Coulter or any of the other precious little conservative "witches".  I think she is one of those conservatives who is not Republican and has done great damage to the GOP.  I also don't mind admitting I think she was one of those responsible for the GOP's loss of the House and Senate in 2006.  The thing is, the GOP isn't as bad as Ingraham, Limbaugh, and Hannity say it is.  Let's just be honest and give them the credit for the fact that the Dems have a huge majority in the House and the Senate.

They go on and on about the GOP, how bad it is, and make problems for decent Republicans.  The real problem is the fact that no one in the GOP is good enough for their mythological brand of "Reagan" conservative, that never really existed.  

In one of those lovely little what goes around comes around, Ingraham's rising star now seems a little tarnished and is fading, perhaps just a little.  Why?  Simple, you don't treat people badly.

 In this wonderful little ditty that is making the rounds on the web (emailed to me by Sally Vee) Ingraham comes across as an obnoxious little incompetent twit who isn't responsible for everything and blames everyone else.  Those around her might not be all that important, but someone leaked this tape.  Someone did not like her.  You also might want to read the comments on My Damn Channel.  The Boston Herald has the blow by blow.

I am not in the same position as Ingraham. I'm not rich, famous, a best seller, or thin and blond.  I'll never have her success.  But, there are things my mother taught me in life.  I do know how to behave and how to treat people graciously.  I gather her radio show is back on the air.  I don't know, because the only talk radio this former junkie listens too is Medved (on the internet). I'll never have a television show.  But I think I know why hers failed.  Let's be honest, it was horrible.  Her conservative bias was too much even for FOX. 

Ingraham is one of those conservatives who give conservatives a bad name.  If you preach about something, you'd better live it.
