MONDAY, JULY 14

I'm tired of bad things happening to very good people.  I'm tired of good people dying from cancer.  To make that affront to all that is, oh well, are those vile Westboro monsters who are planning to defile Tony Snow's funeral. Stop the ACLU has the video link to Fred Phelps, but I will not link to his YouTube video. 

I first started listening to Mike Gallagher in the late 1980's when he was doing post-Rush drive time for one of the local stations in Greenville, SC.  He's never really changed.  I remember when he made the announcement that he was heading to NY, it was obvious he would be "national" within a few years.  I was right.  As someone who has followed his career since the days when he did color for Clemson Football, his current Townhall column is a heart-breaker.

Then, today, something absolutely evil was done to a person about whom I care very much.  In fact, I consider her my adopted "sister". I'm not using names, but people who know me from these parts can just about figure out  who it is.  Someone threatened her today, in a move that was dripping of pure malice and evil.  The threat is such that not only does it damn her vocation, could cost her job, pension, and more importantly, health insurance.  She has a chronic condition that worsens with stress.  What was done to her today is pure stress.  It is also a total lie.  Fortunately there were enough witnesses to the situation to prove it is a lie. 

At least D. J. Drummond has some good news on the "c" front!  I'm glad someone has.

There IS a God and He may work in very mysterious ways.  It seems that the bank working with Paramount may walk away from some financing agreements.  Financing for a few upcoming films is now in doubt.  While this may indeed effect the new vile and disgusting version of Star Trek, the pull out may come too late and this pimple on the you know what of a great legacy may still be released.  We can all hope, though.

ONLY IN NEW MEXICO would an alleged piece of UFO crash artifact surface at an estate sale. The only problem is the fact that the UFO artifact was purchased in Las Vegas! 

The St. Helen's eruption even has been declared over.
