Mommy Cat must be nursing something. She has "tanks". She's starting to come upstairs more often. For the early part of the week she stayed in the closet - constantly. I have no earthly idea how many surviving kittens we have, and I'm not all that sanguine of their survival.

This morning, I discovered a fascinating comment concerning the article I posted about Malkin and LaRaza.

"I post on Michelles' blog on a regular basis and I am becoming very concerned about the level of anti-hispanic hatemongering that I see displayed there by both the hostess and some of her responders. Her hatred of John McCain and her willingness to derail his campaign is simply an extension of this.

It truly seems as though Ms. Malkin has lost all sense of proportion.

A Day of Death and Mourning

THE LAST STRAW

The proverbial last straw came for me today when I saw this Drudge headline, Dame Thatcher to be honored with state funeral... Enough death is enough death. Not only did we lose my very favorite journalist, (Memeorandum) but Yankee legend Bobby Mercer lost his battle with cancer. Legendary Michael DeBakey came close to making a century of life, but just couldn't quite make it. When I was a child, knew DeBakey's sister. She is the person who introduced me to my life-long idol, Laura Ingalls Wilder.
