This Week’s “Subliminal Smear” – McCain’s Experience - via the military.

Are you as angry as I am? I know politics is politics, but when is enough enough? Today at lunch, I was in tears as I thought about the mistreatment of John McCain, not at the hands of the communists, but at the hands of the Democrats. It wasn’t because I am a supporter of Senator McCain, but because of the past. I was a teenager when those images of the POWs returning home filtered in (black and white) to the old televisions. We all sat there, watching, in tears as these brave and honorable men, one by one, some standing, some being carried on stretchers, paused as they saluted their superior officers and the flag upon reaching safety. I will never forget those images. They came not long after those final frantic moments when that final ‘battle’ took place atop our embassy there in Saigon.

It was humiliating defeat.

American had lost.

We were turning tail and running.

Tens of thousands of good men and women had given their lives for nothing – but the honor of being spat upon and mistreated when they returned home. I think many of us privately vowed, never again. Those were dark, humiliating days, followed by the ascension of the House of Carter. There were lines for gas. We were stuck spinning our wheels at 55 MPH. Life was miserable.

The first sign of recovery came in the early fall of 1980. No, it wasn’t the Reagan Campaign, where we were starting to feel there was hope, but from an most unexpected place. Maybe in that year of Reagan it wasn’t odd after all. It came in the visage of the drop dead gorgeous visage of an unknown actor propelled to stardom playing a Vietnam vet turned private investigator. He had two side kicks, also vets. They weren’t disturbed. They weren’t sick. They weren’t suffering from some sort of psychotic stress. They were heroes. They acted like heroes. They honored those who had served and died. They turned the humiliation of defeat back at those who caused the defeat. And – those who were POW’s were treated as the greatest of heroes.

Ironically, that (sigh) magnificent hunk of American Male is still out there, supporting his country and is a staunch supporter of John McCain.

After Magnum PI, and Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, the Gulf War I, and 9/11 I never thought I would see the day when the liberals who abused our returning Vietnam Vets, would come back into power and regain prominence. Lord Help Us All – they have.

Sunday, Wesley Clark, with the tacit permission of the Obama Campaign, basically spat upon the heroic service of John McCain. The attack by Wesley Clark went above and beyond the call of duty.
I’ve been repeatedly telling you how there is a “psych-ops” program within the Obama Campaign. This appears to be week four.

And, so once again, we have men and women in harm’s way. This time, my brother is over there, in harm’s way. How does the Obama Campaign treat our finest – and their heroism – well, they respect their service, but may as well spit on them anyway.

I am absolutely furious.

THE ATTACKS CONTINUE
First came Wes Clark, then Jim Webb added on. Barack Obama snidely gives this vaunting piece of oratory on "patriotism" while Webb plays hitman to Obama's Godfather. While in church - the opposition hits. The way Webb and Clark are going at it, one of 'em is working up to the VP slot. Look for Webb to come closer. He has a state to deliver and Clark doesn't. Webb is implying that John McCain has a temper problem. (FLAP)

"... “And John McCain’s my long-time friend, if that is one area that I would ask him to calm down on, it`s that, don’t be standing up and uttering your political views and implying that all the people in the military support them because they don’t, any more than when the Democrats have political issues during the Vietnam War. Let’s get the politics out of the military, take care of our military people, or have our political arguments in other areas.”..."

These guys just don't get it. They are rude, nasty, and patronizing. Let's be honest here. They think they are better than John McCain, who is rendered vile and disgusting by virture of being a Republican. That's the main problem. John McCain is running against the Obamassiah. If he weren't his military service would be honored. Flap counts this as the 8th attack on McCain's military experience. I think it is the 4th week of subliminal smears.

"...Anyone seeing a pattern here - after the 8th fraking attack? Flap is amazed that the MSM is not pressing on Obama to repudiate former General Wesley Clark and fire him from his campaign. But, they won’t. The eighth Democrat attack impugning John McCain and nobody from a major news organization says a damn thing. McCain plays defense and figures it won’t stick. The MSM doesn’t give a damn that the Democrats are flat out lying and playing an orchestrated SMEAR game. The little “unhidden secret” though is everytime McCain IS attacked American voters will be reminded that Barack Obama lacks ANY military experience or service...."

Mac’s Mind thinks it is the day the Obama Campaign died. Frankly, I am beginning to think if Barack Obama weren’t the Obamassiah, we would all begin to see the abject incompetence of the not ready for prime time campaign. No matter how Obama protests otherwise, we all know both attacks were planned to go along with his vaunting speech on patriotism.

Is John McCain looking more Presidential or is it just my prejudice. Of course it could be his abjectly pathetic opponent. Captain Ed pointed something out on Hot Air today:

"... In “the matter of national security policy making.” Barack Obama hasn’t ever done anything.
In the matter of gauging your “opponents”, Obama wants to meet with them without preconditions despite having no national-security, military, or diplomatic experience.
Barack Obama hasn’t been on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Barack Obama hasn’t had any executive experience.
Barack Obama hasn’t commanded anything, in wartime or not.
Barack Obama hasn’t dealt with diplomats in any capacity at all.
Barack Obama hasn’t ordered the bombs to fall, although to be fair, he has associated himself with someone who has — William Ayers...."

The way Mac'sMind sees it, Obama has "threatened him". While it sounds far-fetched, I'm wondering. Let's face it, threats are the last refuge of a bully. And, Barack Obama is a bully.

"...After defending and praising his own patriotism, Obama declares “So let me say at this at outset of my remarks. I will never question the patriotism of others in this campaign. And I will not stand idly by when I hear others question mine.”

First of all, did he just threaten me, and any others who dare challenge him? What is he going to do if someone does in fact question his “patriotism,” as defined by him? Is he going to give another speech? Is he going to, “bring a gun to a knife fight?” Is he going to form his own brownshirt brigade? What is he going to do?..."
