WHY DO LIBERALS HATE MUSLIMS?

Let's be honest here.  Religion and politics are getting out of hand.  I feel sorry for the good honest athiest who one day decides to run for President of the United States.  She doesn't stand a snowball's chance, even if she is a liberal.  The reason I say this about liberals is there's a dirty little secret out there.  Evidently liberals are more prejudiced againt religion - all religions, than we previously thought possible.

Case in point:

Chickenhawk Express treats us to one of the most luscious and remarkable "exposes" to date.  Some self-righteous Obama supporter, Danielle Allen, a professor, used her position to ferret out the "Obama is a Muslim" smear.  She has tracked down Freepers, and basically intimidated them.  The people forwarding the email are evil.  They are spoken of in snide, corkscrew terms.  They must be destroyed.  The WPost profile turns Allen into a saint.  They fail to mention she is a die-hard Obama supporter.

The most fun, though comes from a link to Byron York
"...The Washington Post has published an unintentionally amusing article this morning about one Danielle Allen, a "razor-sharp, 36-year-old political theorist" at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J. Allen, with doctorates from Cambridge and Harvard, won a $500,000 MacArthur Foundation genius grant a few years ago and now conducts studies at the Institute, where, according to the Post, "she works alongside groundbreaking physicists, mathematicians and social scientists. They don't have to teach, and they face no quotas on what they publish. Their only mandate is to work in the tradition of Einstein, wrestling with the most vexing problems in the universe."..."
Allen isn't just a genius, she's a big time Obama supporter. I must admit, at times like this, I do regret my grandfather Froehlich's friendship with John D. MacArthur. Somehow, from what I knew of MacArthur (having met him a few times when he was visiting with my grandfather, he would rather not have his money thrown around in this fashion.  FYI - when MacArthur wanted to visit with my grandfather Froehlich, he went to my grandfather, not the other way around. ).

Getting back to our lovely little story, it's all about liberal perception, lies, and their unique ability to see things through a dark, rose colored piece of transparant aluminium. (Yet to be invented).  Chickenhawk Express also comes up with something I'd been thinking about.  It also implies Allen is not as much of a genius as she thinks she is, but then she's a liberal and they only use selective pieces of information.

Freeper Beckwith's response:

"..Allen writes, "There was 'Beckwith,' whom she pegged as a veteran from Boston, old enough to vote for John F. Kennedy, in uniform by 1964, and host of a Web site that devotes considerable space to an 'Obama file' that says the senator is 'by birth, blood and training, a Muslim.'" That statement is true.  Just ask Obama's sister Maya.  In an interview with the New York Times, published on April 30th, 2007, Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama’s younger half sister, told the Times, "My whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim." I assume Maya thinks of her brother, Obama, as a member of her family? Even if Maya didn't make such a statement.  Islam is patrilinear.  The son of a Muslim is a Muslim (birth, blood) and Obama did study Islam, the Quran and the Hadith at the Besuki Primary School in Jakarta, Indonesia for two years (training).   Further, he attended mengaji classes where he studied the Quran in its native Arabic. In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school."  He wrote, "In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies." According to Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama's teachers and the principal from 1971 through 1989, Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time at the school.  His teacher was named Maimunah and she lived in the Puncak area, the Cianjur Regency. "I remembered that he had studied "mengaji" (recitation of the Quran)" Tine said.

These facts can account for the startling statement Obama made on February 27th, 2007, when he said the Muslim call to prayer was "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth."..."

Frankly, Scarlet, I don't give a rip if Barack Obama is a Muslim, Buddist, Baptist, or Druid. That's not the point.  What I find absolutely remarkable is the fact that this good liberal Genius, Danielle Allen, is a good liberal, right?  Then why is she so PREJUDICED against Muslims?  She goes out of her way to prove he isn't a Muslim, thereby proving she is prejudiced against Muslims.  Ain't it beautiful?  It isn't about Barack Obama. It isn't about his religion.  It is about the fact that his supporters are terrified he's a Muslim.  Now, if we take into account the way his flunkies bull-dozed their way into an event the other day and refused to allow Islamic women to be photographed near him, well, gosh-darn!

What is wrong with someone being a Muslim?  Don't we practice religious freedom in this country?  If so, I don't see Islam being outlawed just because a few ill-behaved little snits decided to start a war and kill a couple of thousand Americans a few years ago. (I am being sarcastic, don't get upset).  But it is true.  We don't condemn good people of a religion just because there are a few bad actors.  I think of the way "Christian" conservatives condemn my Episcopal church because of Gene Robinson.  He has not nothing to do with me.  Fact is, I've heard he is so arrogant, he'd never notice me.  I'm not important enough.

Back to the liberal against about Islam - why?

Why are liberals so afraid Barack Obama is a Muslim.  The truth of the matter is they ought to be more afraid if he were one, changed faiths, and is now an apostate.  As a perspective leader of the free world, he can't even travel in Muslim lands without being a target.  He'd be safer if he were one.

The real tragedy here is the poor man believes nothing.  He has no actual religious center.  As much as I don't want to do so, I must harken back to the Dobson affair.  (I'll throw up later).  There is a Townhall piece by Floyd and Mary Brown:

"...It all started earlier in the week when Dr. Dobson, a child psychologist and founder of the Christian ministry Focus on the Family, accused Senator Obama of distorting the Bible saying, "I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology." Obama claims to be a Christian despite his denial of basic Christian tenets. For example, Obama does not believe that acceptance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is necessary for salvation. Obama has repeatedly said belief in Jesus is only one of many paths to salvation. At one campaign stop, Obama said that his mother was in heaven despite her atheism and outright rejection of Christ. While speaking at a town hall forum in North Carolina on March 26, 2008 he said his late mother was “not a believer.” He continued, "But she was the kindest, most decent, generous person that I have ever known," Obama said. "I'm sure she is in heaven, even though she may not have subscribed to everything that I subscribe to." A basic tenet of Christianity is that profession of faith in Jesus Christ is necessary to gain the reward of eternal life in heaven. Christians do not believe the door of heaven is open to every “kind” and “generous person.” Christians do not believe that adherence to Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism or other religions opens the door to eternal life in heaven with God. That is why Christians send missionaries seeking the conversion of these religions’ practitioners to Christian beliefs...."

There is a tragic bottom line here.  As a Christian, it is my duty to pray for lost souls.  And quite frankly, I've decided I am sick and tired of the more tollerant among us making fun of those of us who believe this way.  It is part of my basic Christian theology.  I still have a right to practice what I believe, I think.  Maybe I'm wrong about this and probably am, but I'm going to live in a fool's paradise.

It is beoming more and more obvious Barack Obama doesn't believe in a damn (sorry) thing but his own personal ambition.
This is sad.  As a Christian, I have the right to weight the statements Barack Obama has made about what he believes and come up with my own opinion.  I don't care what James Dobson says.  Barack Obama is mangling Christian theology.  In other words, he doesn't know a rip about it.  I have this feeling the same thing holds true with Islamic theology.  He knows nothing about it either.

Barack Obama is an empty shirt.  There's nothing there.  He believes in nothing but his own personal arrogance.  As a Christian, it is my duty to pray for his soul.  According to the way I believe, I do not think Barack Obama has his facts straight. And - I dare anyone to critize me for saying this.  I have a right to my personal beliefs.

But - let's get back to the real story here.  Why do liberals dislike Islam so much?
