SMOKE & MIRRORS

"They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?" He said he was also set for Republicans to say "he's got a feisty wife," in trying to attack his wife Michelle..." Barack Obama
Considering the poor month Barack Obama had in May with his fund-raising attempts, where he pulled in just $200,000 more than John McCain, why is he pulling out of federal funding?  Well, he's going to leave that up to John McCain and all that dirty money he is taking from PACs.  The problem with that little canard is the fact that, accoring to Ruffini, who did another of his magical money studies, only 1% of John McCain's money comes from PACS.  Once again, the way I keep telling you, Barack Obama is a lobby sucking machine.

I keep telling you he is like our former priest.  The more he rants and rails against a subject, the more deeply involved he is. Ruffini crunched the numbers. Once again Obama is ... less than candid?
"...Roughly 90% of funding for Presidential campaigns comes from individuals, and just 1% comes from PACs. Lobbyists and PACs are convenient scapegoats, but just the tip of the iceberg compared to the millions Obama has received from corporate executives who hire lobbyists to represent them before Congress and the executive branch...."
Someone needs to explain His Arrogance to me.  After refusing to accept public money, while having a miserable May, he is, if the numbers are correct, only about $15 million at the most ahead of John McCain.
Hot Air has more on the subject.
"...McCain has raised a grand total of $650,000 from the lobbying industry (Obama pledges not to accept lobbyists' or PAC money), according to the Center for Responsive Politics, and just 1 percent of his contributions are from PACs. Talk about a paper tiger. But everybody remembers the most famous 527 group of all, the 2004 "Swift boats" attack ads questioning John Kerry's bravery in Vietnam. Here are the numbers: The 527 spending has heavily favored Democrats over Republicans in every election cycle since 2000. In 2004, Democratic-leaning 527 groups spent $316 million to Republican-leaning 527s' $113 million. So far in 2008, the 527 spending has been $116 million to $69 million in favor of the Democrats...."
The little engin that could - aka John McCain just keeps on plugging. If McCain and the GOP are pulling ahead in the money game, why is Obama doing what he is doing?  There is one answer and I think it deals with Obama's over-all maturity.  He's more like a pathetic little pimply faced teenager, beating his scrawny chest, acting like a fool over some girl who is just so completely out of his league.  It is all hype.  It's not about how much you've raised, but how much cash is on hand.  John McCain is about $12 million below Barack Obama - not $250,000,000.  That's a massive difference.

Was the whole campaign fianance announcment designed to dispirate the GOP.  I think it was.  Obama likes to play psychological warfare.  He blew it here.  So, now he pulls out the race card - about 4 months too soon.

There is a thread of the not rational - maybe? When does arrogance become an emotional disorder? Grizzly Groundswell has the email Obama sent out to raise money.
"...Since we announced our decision not to accept taxpayer funds for the general election, tens of thousands of people like you have come forward to declare their independence from a broken system. This decision frees us to build a movement of millions of people giving whatever they can afford to a campaign that is truly reforming the way our political process works..But we have our work cut out for us, and we need to grow this movement. Right now, you can declare your independence and help us run a campaign that is funded by the people and for the people...."

Curt at Flopping Aces thinks all of this is "going to his head".  If so, then he is not fit to be POTUS. Now he
photoshops the Presidential seal. Even the NY Times finds something amiss with it.
"...At a discussion with a dozen Democratic governors in Chicago on Friday morning, each of the governors was identified with a small name plate but Senator Barack Obama sat behind a low rostrum to which was attached an official-looking seal no one had seen before. It is emblazoned with a fierce-looking eagle clutching an olive branch in one claw and arrows in the other and is deliberately reminiscent of the official seal of the president of the United States. Around the top border are the words “Obama for America;” across the bottom is the campaign’s Web address. It also contains the logo of the Obama campaign, variously interpreted as a sunrise or a view down an open road. Just above the eagle’s head are the words “Vero Possumus,” roughly translated “Yes we can.” Not exactly E Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One), the motto on the presidential seal and the dollar bill. Then again, Mr. Obama is not the president..."
According to Red State, this isn't quite legal.
HOLY SMOKE?
TMP is crowing over the incredibly bad Newsweek poll that has Obama some 15 points ahead of John McCain.  It's a very bad poll, where TMP admits these were the same numbers Michael Dukakis had at this time over GHWB.
"...For now, however, Obama is running much stronger at this point in the race than his two most recent Democratic predecessors, Sen. John Kerry and Vice President Al Gore, who both failed in their bids to win the White House. In a July 2004 NEWSWEEK Poll, Kerry led Bush by only 6 points (51 percent to 45 percent). In June 2000, Gore was in a dead heat with Bush (45 percent to 45 percent)—which is essentially where he ended up when that razor-thin election was finally decided. Most other national polls have shown Obama with a 4 to 5 point lead over McCain so far. Random statistical error can explain some of the difference in poll results. The NEWSWEEK survey of 1,010 adults nationwide on June 18 and 19, 2008, has a margin of error of 4 points. But the latest evidence of his gaining ground goes well beyond that margin..."

LITTLE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF

Like the little boy who was always crying wolf, when Barack Obama paints himself into a corner, which he has done this week, he starts sniveling about racism. He did it to Hillary Clinton.  Now he's trying it on John McCain.  Sorry, Barack, but we aren't going to go running into your sewer and cower. It is a fraud.  He is a fraud.
"...It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy," Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. "We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. "They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?" He said he was also set for Republicans to say "he's got a feisty wife," in trying to attack his wife Michelle. "We know the strategy because they've already shown their cards. Ultimately I think the American people recognize that old stuff hasn't moved us forward. That old stuff just divides us," he said..."
Then we see the crocodile tears about Michelle Obama being abused by Republicans.  Thing is Obama doesn't mention the way his minions are completely abusing Cindy McCain.  This is starting to get out of hand with him.  I wonder how long it is going to take for the MSM to catch on and start exposing his out and out fraud?
SOMETHING VERY WRONG HERE
I think it's time to be very honest here.  If I were a Democrat I would be extremely concerned.  Either Barack Obama is crazy like a snake or he's just plain crazy.  He is starting to remind me of one of those characters in a Tom Clancy novel.  This man isn't rational.  He doesn't have the money to run without federal money.  He's begging for money - pretending he's floating in it, when he's floundering without it.  Then he comes up with this great seal knock-off. This is not the action of a rational adult male who wishes to be President of the United States of America.  This is the action of an individual who is playing, arrogant, or so lacking in reality he is seriously not rational.  I'm beginning to wonder if the Dems are not going to need to get together and pull the plug on this campaign.  No wonder Hillary doesn't want to give up her delegates.   In the words of that great American philosopher:  "It ain't over 'till it's over."

Let's face it, the man's actions almost give creedence to Larry Sinclair's claims of drug use.  Seriously, what is this man on?  No NORMAL adult male would do that Great Seal knock-off.  It's weird to the point of being spooky. Are Barack Obama's ambitions so un-controlled that he must do even this?

Pull the plug.
