If you start going through the blogs, you will discover that there are a tremendous number of blogs protecting the honor of Michelle Obama while going out of their way to defame Cindy McCain any way possible. There is a trend here, and I think it is deliberate. You see very few pieces like this one.

After Michelle Obama said in February that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of the United States, Cindy McCain pointedly said: "I have, and always will be, proud of my country."

Asked about her response to Michelle Obama's comment, Cindy McCain said in a CNN in an interview aired Thursday, "No, it wasn't a political opening, there was nothing planned." "I'm an emotional woman when it comes to service to our country," she said. "I've watched many people's children leave and go serve. This is something that is the fiber of the McCain family. It was nothing more
than me saying, 'Look, I believe in this country so strongly.' I think she's a fine woman, a good mother, and we're both in an interesting line of work right now." She further explained in an interview aired Thursday on ABC's "Good Morning America:" "It wasn't about being insulted at all. I don't know why she said that _ everyone has their own experience. I don't know why she said what she said. All I know is that I've always been proud of my country."

Cindy McCain also showed her softer side Thursday while visiting the Vietnamese coastal town of Nha Trang where about 100 children born with cleft palates and cleft lips were awaiting free plastic surgery provided by the U.S. charity Operation Smile. The procedures will take place offshore on one of the U.S. Navy's floating hospitals, the USNS Mercy. Cindy McCain has made several trips to the communist country where her husband was shot down during the Vietnam War and held for more than five years as a prisoner of war.

"This is what I do, and this is what revitalizes me, personally," she said. "The campaign is extremely important, of course, but this is
also important to me, and so you try to balance everything." Cindy McCain has been actively involved with Operation Smile since
2001 and is a member of its board of directors. She has a special connection to Vietnam because she and her husband first helped a baby, Phuoc Thi Le, receive reconstructive surgery on her cleft palate and cleft lip in 1997 after a chance meeting with the
girl's uncle in Arizona. Cindy McCain reunited with Le, now 11, during her one-day visit. ..."

There are smears and then there are smears. Evidently the McCain marriage is fair game to the Obama Drones. First, Right Pundits is running an expose of the Obama camp's attempt to destroy the McCain's marriage. I think that's the only way you can put it.

"...That is what happened with the Cindy McCain affair rumor. It was manufactured out of thin air as a result of a giant rush of sudden, inexplicable internet searches for the topic. Whether the search engines were deliberately manipulated to produce a buzz is anyone’s guess. My guess is the campaigns are sophisticated enough about the internet to know that computerized searches can be rigged to simulate a million searches in an hour to produce a Machiavellian effect. Create enough searches for a story and you create the story.

Predictably, a thin blog post then appeared as a response to the searches themselves. Credit this time goes to an unknown blog called “Corey’s Hijinks” which first published an article about the rumored Cindy McCain affair about 60 minutes after the searches first stormed the internet. Corey’s Hijinks has been in existence for 60 days and claims “Word, thoughts, and other junk” as a slogan. It posts stories exclusively based on hot searches, manufacturing a supply for a perceived search demand.

So some opportunist named “Corey” typed a few words into his blog after studying the searches. The article begins “Looks like some dirt has just some out of the woodwork — a Cindy McCain affair?” It continues with three incoherent sentences which insert the phrase “Maryland divorce lawyer” which appears to be some attempt to manipulate its SEO keywords for commercial purposes. The blog is so bad and the post is so manipulative that we could not possibly link it.

Well that was enough to get the next blog excited. My Town Talks blogged the manufactured story of a Cindy McCain affair, which cited the fictitious Maryland divorce lawyer from the other story...."

Or did the repulsive Oberman start it?

Yesterday, Judith Trotsky alerted me to this vile little gem. I am asking everyone to go to You Tube and flag it. Because the language is so vile, I am not going to do an embed. It is by something called The Public Service Administration - that alleges to be a comedy group. The problem is they only make fun of people who are running against Barack Obama. They don't make fun of Obama. Are these people working as a third party for Obama, doing his dirty work?

There are a few problems with this.
1. I don't laugh at filth
2. They never hit Obama - why?
3. They are spreading a malicious lie
4. Obama supporters will pick this up and run with it.
5. Read the comments on their You Tube site.

DIRECTED AT CINDY MCCAIN
I think this recent spat of smears is directed at Cindy McCain. There are dozens of them, all basically repeating the same theme. I've linked to a few of the more outrageous ones that are obviously drones.

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
Michelle was a hit in THE DRESS. She wants a world friendly for working Moms. She is perfect, absolutely perfect. Very few bloggers even criticize her. EVERYONE wants to be JUST LIKE HER! She is perfect, absolutely perfect.
Cindy McCain on the other hand is a perfect bitch. Why? Well, primarily because her husband is the POTUS nominee for the GOP. The other reason is Michelle Obama must be perfect, ergo Cindy McCain must be demonized.
I think it is rather obvious there is a consolidated attack that is coming out of the Obama Campaign. Cindy McCain is the target. If you stop and read what is being written about her - then what is being written about Michelle Obama, there's no comparison. Right now Cindy McCain is paying the price for a non-McCain campaign to link Michelle Obama with "Whitey". If you sift through enough of these, it is quite obvious that Michelle Obama is "worthy" of being treated well, but Cindy McCain deserves nothing but malice. The Obamites even have a piece of clip art now that is dedicated to destroying Cindy McCain. Susan Estrich proves why she is one of my favorite liberals.

How about this little piece of malice from Libby Spencer:

Mrs. McCain is currently touring Vietnam in support of Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that provides facial reconstruction surgery. According to daughter Meghan, they were actually lounging in Singapore yesterday and flew to Vietnam today. Looking at the photos, and the island where their hotel is located, it doesn't look like they're exactly roughing it and they're not even attending an Operation Smile event until tomorrow.

Operation Smile is clearly a worthy cause but maybe Mrs. McCain should take a lesson from Obama and concentrate her considerable wealth and energy on visiting with the Americans in the Midwest who are underwater from the flooding at home, rather than take cheap potshots at his wife just before embarking on a quasi-vacation in foreign countries...."

It's like this, Libby Spencer, while Michelle Obama is having a make-over and being glamerous on TV, Cindy McCain is doing what she has always done, trying to make the lives of a few unimportant little kids, who will NEVER vote for her husband, a little better. It has suddenly dawned on me what Cindy McCain has done to deserve this malicious treatment from Barack Obama's flunkies. She has done the unpardonable and out-classed Michelle Obama's big debut on national TV as the new Jackie! What a damnable thing to do. How dare she? Decidedly unglamerous, Cindy McCain stole the international spotlight away from Michelle Obama. Taylor Marsh, liberal, has one of the most balanced takes on the whole issue.
