"...I'm glad I'm here though it's not easy. I'm amazed how many people have volunteered to serve in Iraq. There's one guy who retired as a colonel in the National Guard. He wanted to go with his son in his old unit. The NG allowed him to deploy with him but as a Sergeant. He agreed.

Well please enjoy your weekend. For us it's another working day and another day I don't mind working."

SJ, I know you are proud of your brother and I keep him in my thoughts and my heart til he returns safe from Iraq. My nephew, a Marine, spent 6 months in Iraq and he's home in the US now safe and sound. He gets out of the Marines in July! You can't know how deeply I feel for the men and women who serve over there...

You learn the meaning of 'Turning it over to the Lord', that's for sure. We are so proud of him. Both of his sons have done tours in Iraq. Of course I'd never tell him I was proud of him, you know how that is.

We have some remarkable men and women in this nation. I don't think we can ever repay them for what they've done to protect and serve this country.
