THURSDAY THIRTEEN
You Know Who I Want to See!

I’m back after a week off – I was doing the doctor thing with the parents all day.  Talk about exhausting!  Please pardon my shallow Thursday Thirteen today.  

1.  The first time I saw HIM I was sitting in a theater in Atlanta.  A group of us were finally able to get in to see IT.  By this time it was nearly July.  The moment I saw HIM, I told my sister, “This is going to be one of the biggest movie stars in history”.  Was I right, or was I right?

2.  His acting career in the tank, he was noticed by George Lucas and given a bit part in what is now a “classic".  Soon afterward, he was able to give up his very successful self-taught career as a builder and become a full-time working actor.

3.  His career nearly bought it after this fiasco.

5.  Tom Selleck was set to play Indiana Jones.  He could not break his Magnum PI contract (thank heavens), so George Lucas went ahead and tapped Harrison Ford (who still needed a job) for the role. (thank heavens)!  I love archaeology (sigh).

6.  He looks so HOT in this one!

7.  While I was visiting the grandparents Florida, my aunt called.  She said there was this unknown actor who was in a well reviewed movie.  Did my mother and I want to go see it.  There was nothing else to do.  Little did I know my aunt and I had the same taste in actors (sigh).  This is one of my favorite of his scenes.
8.   I think Frantic was his most “mature” movie to date.  What a performance, may his best.

10.  My favorite Jack Ryan

11.  And Romantic (sigh)

12.  This one came out the day after I had melanoma surgery.  I wasn’t very comfortable, but I sure made it to the movie!

13.  He proved why I always wanted to be stranded on a desert island….(sigh)
