SMOKE AND MIRRORS
Go through the FEC reports on Obama. I like the Chicago one. Why do some people donate fifty bucks a half dozen times in one day? I think these donations are set up on a credit card or bank payout system. Just start looking at them. Look at Feb 15, 2008. I see where people made a number of small donations that day. Why are there no donations from Tony Rezko? I don’t know how much to make of this since my donations to John McCain have not showed up, but my cousin’s $2300 to Hillary has. WHY IGNORE IT?
I’d start off with the Rezko watch that has a weekend reading list. Misc. Obama reading recommended by the RNC.
THE REZKO WEEK IN REVIEW
“…Since Obama wasn’t involved in the serious wrongdoings for which Rezko is on trial, his name will continue to play only a minimal role in the proceedings. But he might suffer collateral damage if the trial continues to expose the grimy underpinnings of the corrupt political structure from which he came. Obama has spoken often about the need to clean up Washington. But he hails from one of the country’s dirtiest governments, where at times he either endorsed for high office or did business with some of its dirtiest players. To the extent that this trial reminds people of that fact, every news story it generates will be bad news for Obama….”
SCARY OBAMA?
I have some problems with Barack Obama. I think Hiscience picks up on a little of the situation.
SV sent this to me – a Muslim’s take on Obama. We’ve been asking where are the courageous Muslims. Here is one.
“…I doubt if "middle" America -- patriotic, proud, fiercely independent and straight-talking -- will give Obama the pass on his long and fluid speech to explain away, by use of history, the evil ranting of his pastor. For what Obama did not do, nor could do, despite his rhetorical skill, is tell the American people he walked out on Wright and TUCC once he learned how deeply soaked his pastor was in the sort of theology out of which Afro-American race-baiters have made their career at a terrible social cost to the black community in the U.S. In leaving Wright and TUCC behind a long time ago without public notice and the media glare would have required simple courage that Obama -- if the public were to accept the mainstream liberal-left media's glorification of him -- possessed. On the contrary, Obama courted Wright, drew support from him among his followers and only denounced him after his bigotry became public knowledge. Would walking out on Wright and TUCC have been difficult? Perhaps, it would. But accepting anything less from Obama would be indulging in the bigotry of low expectation when his many media friends have packaged him as a rare politician of immense guts and decency.
I stopped going to mosques in my home town after 9/11 -- as many other Muslims did in their quiet manner without seeking public attention -- and severed relations with "official" Islam and its spokesmen who are the most egregious practitioners of bigotry with their hate-filled language that fuels violence. The cost for me was liberating as I distanced myself from folks who preach a war-mongering ideology masquerading as a religion.Obama's pastor is a mere sophomore when it comes to the Friday tirades of Islamist imams denouncing and damning America, Israel, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Muslims who reject their lies and venom. The Wright controversy has revealed Obama as just another self-serving politician, though gifted with a silver-tongue,…”

CUT THE BULL
MUST READ: Brad Marston, at As a Matter of Fact has an excellent commentary about Obama and his manipulation of the truth about John McCain’s military stance.
LARRY SINCLAIR
This guy isn’t going gently into the night. To me that is one of the most fascinating aspect of all of this. If someone was going to do a quick hit and run hit on someone, why hang around for so long? Why subject one’s self to all the harassment? I don’t know what I believe about this. My real problem is the fact that Barack Obama isn’t man enough to own up to his mistakes or the mistakes of his campaign or associates. Remember the joke about Bill Clinton and “the buck never got here” take on Harry Truman’s “the buck stops here”? With Barack Obama it is more like “I don’t seen no stupid buck, therefore it does not exist.” He has some serious issues to the point where I frankly don’t think he has the manliness to be a Senator, let alone POTUS.
Sinclair made a fascinating post the other day. I think it is worth reading. (On a side note, it is rather interesting how his blogging sophistication has grown). I find the comments on Sinclair’s blog to be rather illuminating. I found one that has had no play, anywhere. It comes from the Wonkette. Seems that Obama had an interesting parking ticket trail while at Harvard. Yes, it is old news, and yes it was college, but I think I had one traffic ticket when I was in college and then it was going through one of the most notorious speed traps in the country. I was framed I tell you – framed. But – read this. Most of them were for violations for the same location – which in itself is interesting and can point to pure innocence or absolute guilt. And – he paid them – which puts him ahead of me. My theory of parking tickets …. The worst of it, is this is one time I might side with Obama. He paid them back in January of this year, which says something. Me – I’d be hauled off to jail on principle over it.
Here is a link to the suit Sinclair filed against Bambi. The other day Sinclair won his first round in court. Interesting – and no one in the media covered it.
OPRAH?
There’s something a loyal Pink Flamingo reader mentioned to me the other day. I’m only now following up on it, maybe I should have done so sooner. Since I’m punchy tired, and this is my only post for the day, I’m just going to have a little fun. Evidently Oprah ditched her precious Barack awhile back, then apparently is now supporting him again. Hummmm. Thank you Larry Sinclair for more on the subject.
The blackout on Obama news is so solid in the MSM, unless it is absolute worshipful perfection, that this person has resorted to a check-out counter tabloid. So – for what it’s worth – I’m doing a copy and past of what she sent to me.
“…ITEM #2 - Where is Oprah-bama lately?
Looking through the current issue of the Globe tabloid, I was reminded that we haven't heard much from Oprah about her chosen candidate/messiah lately. 'Course, I don't watch Oprah's show or frequent any of her websites. But still, it seems for a long while I couldn't turn on the TV without seeing Oprah out stumping and swooning for Barack. If Oprah goes cool or cold on Obama, I'd consider it a significant turn of events. The Globe's exclusive story is titled "Oprah's Feud over Obama! - She's told to dump Barack as scandal rages over preacher"
[SNIP] Oprah has been under fire since throwing her considerable influence behind Obama, first by women who felt betrayed that she snubbed Hillary Clinton and now by people who are outraged by Wright's anti-American rants."There seems to be a whole groundswell out there for Oprah to cut her ties to Obama," says the insider. "There are a lot of people who want her to be above politics and not smack-dab in the middle of a nasty campaign. "Oprah has been told over and over again not to make anymore campaign appearances for Obama. Even if she doesn't drop him entirely, people are hoping she won't be so visibly out there for him."
[...] As GLOBE revealed in our April 7 issue, Oprah, 54, quit Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago because the preacher was too un-American. Insiders say she also tried to talk Obama into backing away from the scandal-scarred minister. But even though the candidate ignored her advice, insiders say she simply won't forsake Obama -- at risk of tarnishing her own sterling reputation. "Oprah jumped in with both feet to help Obama win the presidency, but now she's finding the pool deeper than she thought," says the insider. "And she's swimming in a sea of negative fan reaction." [...] Foxnews.com writer Roger Friedman adds that Oprah's celebrity friends like John Travolta, Tom Cruise and Kirstie Alley, have also steered clear of the [Obama] campaign. But despite Oprah's fierce loyalty to Obama, the relentless assault on her since the Wright blowup could ultimately drive a wedge between Oprah and the 46-year-old Illinois senator, who refuses to disavow the firebrand minister he still considers his mentor…..”
