THE MCCAIN CHESS GAME
You do realize John McCain is a chess player, thinking several moves ahead in the game. GWB is a poker player, and a good one. Barack Obama – well, he’s sure not a bowler. Obama’s more the Candlyland little kid who can’t handle criticism. Take today for instance.
When a conservative radio talking head went for the jugular with Barack Obama at a John McCain rally, McCain immediately denounced him. Much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth engulfed the conservative radio world as talk show hosts were quick to denounce Big Mac while they stood up for a nasty little flamethrower. At the time I had a feeling we would soon be seeing the wisdom of the move.
Well…..
An Obama operative calls John McCain a Warmonger. (Mad Irish Mac has the rundown) Big Mac the chessplayer has now backed Candyland Master Barack Obama into a corner.
I’m loving this. It seems like Barack Obama isn’t man enough to stand up against his operatives and admit that they were wrong. This is just way too much fun. Not only is Barack Obama such a sissy he can’t bowl (even I could do better than he did – before I broke my elbow – and that’s pathetic), but it just goes to show the only game he’s good at is the little kid game Candyland.
It is obvious the future messiah of this world is not man enough to own up to a mistake. If a man can’t own up to his mistake or those of his underlings, he’s not much of a man, is he? He’s just a little kid playing Candyland or Shoots & Ladders.
THE TOKYO ROSE GROUND GAME?
The past few days I've noticed there seems to be some rumbling out of the Obama campaign, designed to start damaging the McCain campaign. We are now starting to hear how John McCain is going to be having serious financial problems in the fall. It has dawned on me that Barack Obama and his minions are a heck of a lot like Tokyo Rose was during World War II. For those ignorant wretches who know nothing about history and are therefore damned to repeat it. Tokyo Rose was a name given to a number of women who did their level best to destroy American and Allied spirits and spread propaganda to help the Japanese win the war. Barack Obama is a heck of a lot like Tokyo Rose. Basically impotent and completely lacking the courage of a man who takes responsibility of his actions, he and his slithery little band of twits do their very best to defile, degrade, and denigrate his opponents. Incapable of mounting an honorable campaign of issues, he skirts around like a pack of attacking Velociraptors in Jurassic Park. They attack in a pack, biting and snipping until they bring down a large creature.
The attack from the Tokyo Rose Left are beginning - just little denigrations of John McCain. Go after his finances, try dispiriting his supporters. The problem is Tokyo Rose was more a subject of derision and pity than fear. Everyone knew what "she" was. We all know exactly what Barack Obama is. The big problem is are his true believer supporters so blinded by his "light" that the will never see the truth?
Peterico linked to a Michael Barone piece that could be important. The main thing is it brings up some things I’ve been thinking about. Are we going to be overwhelmed by Obama’s tens of millions and the walking around money he is going to spread all over the place? Or, can the McCain Campaign make up for it somehow. I think this is not going to be the cake-walk some seem to think it is going to be. I’m worried. Obama has proven he can bring out new voters, etc. How that is going to translate in November, I just don’t know. I do know he had a fortune to spend buying votes. We don’t.
Barone wrote:
“…In reviewing the maps of the Democratic primary results, in Dave Leip's electoral atlas, I was struck by the narrow geographic base of Barack Obama's candidacy. In state after state, he has carried only a few counties—though, to be sure, in many cases counties with large populations. There are exceptions, particularly in the southern states with large numbers of black voters in both urban and rural counties. But overall, the geographic analysis has pointed up to me a divide between Democratic constituencies—a divide as stark as that between blacks and Latinos or the old and the young—which has not shown up in the exit polls. It's a division that helps to explain the quite different performances of Obama and Hillary Clinton in general election pairings against John McCain….”
It is interesting but there are things people just don’t pay attention to such as the 2000 POTUS vote in NM. Algore won by less than 450 votes. Lincoln County is the most Republican county in the state. Funny, no one ever comes here to campaign, but this is the county that carries it for the GOP – the numbers here are so massive (for New Mexico) and so lopsidedly GOP. In 2000, on election eve, there was a massive blizzard here in Lincoln County. I was able to get out and vote the next morning, but then I live 3 blocks from where I vote. I’d also never been in that much snow – it was up over the floorboard of my Durango when I pulled out of the carport! (And I have a vehicle that is high off the ground). We had nearly 2 feet of snow. Over 7000 Republican voters in Lincoln County were snowed in that day and were unable to vote. If we’d not had the blizzard Bush would have won New Mexico by over 6000 votes!
And so, New Mexico is considered “purple” at best. I just don’t see Barack Obama taking it in November. I also don’t see Hillary doing that well. John McCain is liked here. He’s the “guy next door” so to speak, coming from Arizona. NM benefits from having a POTUS from Arizona, the way we have had having one from Texas!
MCCAIN FINANCIAL PROBLEMS
Ruffini is making the examination of Obama’s donors almost a career. His latest information is illuminating.
Kung Fu Quip – Turk has a fascinating study of the financial problems that could beset John McCain this August. The way he exposes the Dems and the FEC, it makes one wonder if they’ve not blocked FEC appointments just for this specific reason. Turk’s excellent advice:
“…That’s it. Begin a fundraising drive to combat the situation you are in. Beat Obama at the small dollar giving and use the fact that the Democrats are purposefully blocking the FEC appointments in an effort to screw you against them.If they don’t do something, and keep spending money under the theory that the FEC situation will be resolved before August, they run the real risk that they go into the general out gunned to the tune of $150 million or more….”
