WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30 We’ve had worse days, but this one is in the top five since I’ve lived here. This morning I was going to put it as the 3rd worst windy day, but I think I will put it at #5. We are expecting a monster day tomorrow. Fed Ex came by this morning. I thought the poor woman was going to end up with her arm caught in the door it was blowing so bad. It was miserable. THURSDAY THIRTEEN The Pink Flamingo’s 70th Edition Thursday Thirteen Thirteen Most Excellent "Cop" Themes Okay, I admit it. I like cop shows. Unfortunately, with the exception of the line-up on USA on Friday night, I really don't think there's a "traditional" cop show on network. The 1980's were the best of times. Somewhere they did a list of the greatest cop shows ever. Believe it or not, my favorite one was declared the very best cop show ever. I've saved it for last. 1. COPS

WHY SHOULD I BE FORCED TO ATONE FOR THE SINS OF MY ANCESTORS? Today, Dave at Oricus links to a commentary at Fire Dog Lake about a Peggy Noonan column. I have long ago said the venerable Ms Noonan is not firing on all thrusters. I think this time she has basically driven over a cliff. On April 28 at the WSJ Noonan wrote: “…Main thought.
