Let's be honest here. I think Sarah Palin is the perfect choice for John McCain's VP. It is terribly calculating to mention this, B - U - T she is now by far the absolute perfect choice for VP. In fact, Draft Palin mentions that even a Dem Congresswoman now thinks Palin on the ticket would be the voice of doom for them.

"...U.S. House Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), who sat on the shows panel of experts, was absolutely wowed by the Governor and started throwing out lines like, "You better embrace this woman quick!", "That is a VERY attractive candidate!", "She's just what your party needs!", and (my personal favorite) "that was some McCain straight talk you just got from that girl!"...."

It is obvious the only other possible VP contender who will have the same impact as Sarah Palin would be Michael Steele.

Alaska Governor and new mommy Sarah Palin is now under fire for daring to fly so late in her pregnancy! If nothing else is proof a Republican can’t get a break, even after child-birth, I don’t know what else is.

“…Gov. Sarah Palin’s decision to make the eight-hour flight from Dallas to Anchorage has some people wondering about the possible safety hazards of flying while in the late stages of pregnancy. The governor, eight months into her pregnancy, noticed amniotic fluid Thursday morning prior to giving a keynote luncheon address at the Republican Governor’s Energy Conference in Texas. After wrapping up the speech, Palin and her husband consulted with her physician about possibly flying home on an earlier flight. After being granted permission from her doctor, she and her husband proceeded with the trek home.
At that point, Palin was only having minor contractions and was not showing signs of active labor, Sharon Leighow, the governor’s spokeswoman, said on Monday. After the baby was born, Palin told her staff members that her experiences from four previous pregnancies made her comfortable with the signs of active labor. She felt that neither she nor her baby were in any danger, and so she flew home as scheduled….”

I don’t know why anyone is even concerned. She was in labor with her 5th child, (Track, 18 years old; Bristol, 17; Willow, 13; and Piper, 7) and knew the drill. She was back at work on Monday. She will work (part time), and planning to bring baby Trig to work with her as soon as she resumes her regular schedule in a few weeks. There will be no maternity leave. The governor is nursing, so Trig will be a working baby.

Baby Trig was born with an extra chromosome, and has Downs Syndrome. Something like 80% of all babies diagnosed with Downs are now aborted, even though, through proper education and training, they can lead meaningful lives. The loving decision not to murder Baby Trig is turning Governor Palin, an obvious VP choice, into a heroine among the anti-abortion crowd. Proving what Republicans are all about, Governor Palin released the following statement:

“…"Trig is beautiful and already adored by us," Palin said in a statement LifeNews.com obtained. "We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives," she said. 'We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed," the 44 year-old governor added….”

IGNORED BY THE MSM
Have you noticed that the MSM is not doing much about baby Trig. You hear very little about him. Is it because Trig’s mom, a potential VP choice, chose life? The Palins have made one of the most important statements in ages about the beauty of God’s creation and the sanctity of life.

Palin said she and Todd feel blessed and chosen by God. With a big family including four older kids, grandparents, aunts and uncles, Palin said, they will have lots of support for what's ahead. In their eyes, she said, "he's absolutely perfect." The oldest Palin kid, Track, is in the Army and texted his mother after learning the news with something to the effect of "This is just so cool -- I finally got my brother." In a letter she e-mailed to relatives and close friends Friday after giving birth, Palin wrote, "Many people will express sympathy, but you don't want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this." She wrote it in the voice of and signed it as "Trig's Creator, Your Heavenly Father." "Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed-up world you live in down there on Earth. Trig is no different, except he has one extra chromosome," Palin wrote. As for people who think a baby like Trig shouldn't even be born, look around, the governor wrote. Who is perfect or even normal?...”

Governor Palin is a perfect example of Praising God for all things - Rejoice Always, Pray Without Ceasing, & In Everything Give Thanks!

ANGEL CHILDREN
If ever there was a baby who has been born with a God-given mission in life, it is Baby Trig. With 80% of Downs babies being murdered before they have an opportunity to even life, it is obvious he is going to be the poster child for life.

“…Because of prenatal testing, most families now know beforehand, said Judy Waldron, president of the Alaska chapter of the National Down Syndrome Congress, a support and education group that delivered a parent packet to the Palins in the hospital. "They anticipate it and they kind of relish the challenge of having a child with special needs," said Waldron, an Anchorage teacher whose 19-year-old daughter, Lyn, has Down syndrome. While it's "no walk in the park," the joys are great, she said. "Just the fact that they require such great effort to complete some simple tasks and that's real rewarding." Todd Palin said the family has gotten a flood of supportive e-mail from families around the country with special-needs children. He said he's playing it by ear as far as his North Slope job. Some people call them "angel children," straight from God, Waldron said. They are usually sweet-natured but can be ornery, like anyone….”

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Governor Palin is not taking maternity leave. She gave birth on Friday and was back at work on Monday. She is nursing. She is going to bring Baby Trig to the office. This is proof, absolute proof, the best job a working brand new mommy can possibly have is in politics. According to Citizen Sugar, this may make her the perfect VP choice. She does prove something I’ve always known should be the norm and not the exception. The very best job a mom can have is she wants to work and be a mom is in the House, Senate, Governor’s Mansion – or White House! That’s where this working mom belongs, in the VP’s Residence at the Naval Observatory.

Seriously, though. Let's see how long it will take for the MSM to pick up on Baby Trig and start giving he and his very brave Mommy some attention. I wonder if it will even happen. To provide positive coverage of this story is admitting that maybe the 80% of Downs babies who are aborted can live worth-while lives. If this is the case, can you think of a better anti-abortion platform?
