TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF RULES
Barack Obama began his quest pledging to bring everyone together and for change. Well, he’s done more to split this country apart racially, so I guess he has already brought change. How does a person do what he has done? Is it on purpose or simply abject incompetence. Either answer renders him completely ineligible to be POTUS. Lets be honest here, if Barack Obama were a Republican, he would be sulking after having been forced to resign from the Senate, let alone end his POTUS run. The abject bigotry of Jeremiah Wright, and Obama’s convoluted tap dance, and the fawning approval of the MSM has brought home something many of us have known for some time. There are two sets of rules for two different sets of people in this world. It has nothing to do with race or religion. There are two distinct sets of values. Two different versions of what is acceptable an not. And there two ways of looking at race in this country.
DEMOCRAT
REPUBLICAN
The whole Barack Obama debacle has proven without a doubt that there are two sets of rules. Democrats can get away with anything. Republicans are held to a very fine line of approval. Never shall the two meet and never shall the MSM be called upon to demand any Democrat be held to the same impossibly strict standards Republicans are required to meet.
It’s that simple.
Race has nothing – absolutely nothing to do with it – if you are a Democrat.
Race has everything to do with it – if you are a Republican
There are indeed Two Different Americas:
Democrat
Republican
“…"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity," he said. "But she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know. . .there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."…” Barack Obama
ARE ALL WHITE PEOPLE RACIST?
Ace of Spades has the skinny on Little Barack’s racist granny. Evidently she was afraid of a black panhandler who might have threatened her. Barack’s grandfather refused to drive her to work so she could not avoid being near the man. If anyone deserves to be castigated it was his alleged jerk of a grandfather who couldn’t accommodate her.
BUT – the story comes from Newsbusters, so I question that source. Then I discover the story is being told by Steve Sailer.
A FEW ARE
Steve Sailer is one of those “white people” I would classify as a racist. The story comes from “ISteve’s blog”. Steve Sailer quotes from Obama’s book – Dreams from My Father. The strange thing is, after reading what Sailer wrote, I finally have a touch of sympathy for Barack Obama. If this is copied correctly, the man was raised in an emotionally dysfunctional home that may have bordered on the abusive – emotionally. Unfortunately it also points to something more tragic about his “raising”. I think it was probably so completely dysfunctional, so liberal that he may not be psychologically fit to be President of the United States. The problem – we cannot trust the judgment of racist, Steve Sailer. Here is a profile from a rather liberal organization.
MOST ARE NOT
Geraldine Ferraro is not a racist. She was telling the truth. Now, having nothing to loose, she has nothing to lose.
“…Ferraro, who left Hillary Clinton’s campaign finance team after saying Obama wouldn’t be where he is if he were white, said she had “no clue” why Obama included her in his speech. She said Obama’s relationship with Wright raises questions about his judgment. “What this man is doing is he is spewing that stuff out to young people, and to younger people than Obama, and putting it in their heads that it’s OK to say ‘God damn America’ and it’s OK to beat up on white people,” she said. “You don’t preach that from the pulpit.” The Wright controversy lit up shortly after Ferraro, a former vice presidential candidate, left her post on the Clinton finance committee following her initial interview with The Daily Breeze on Obama’s success. In his speech, Obama drew a comparison between the two individuals. “We can dismiss Reverend Wright as a crank or a demagogue, just as some have dismissed Geraldine Ferraro, in the aftermath of her recent statements, as harboring some deep-seated racial bias,” he said….”
SOME BLACKS AREI would put the New Black Panther Party in that league. I think the latest Jeremiah Wright quote uncovered by LGF is the last straw.
Bill Richardson wants to be VP.There have been some rather humorous in-state tacky jokes about Richardson lately, but I will not repeat them. Richardson is an interesting politician. He talks a very liberal game, is basically incompetent, and what he does do is probably more conservative than half the GOP governors in the country. Flap
AND DEMS ARE BAD SPORTS
Evidently something like a fifth of all Dems would cross party lines and vote for John McCain if their candidate loses the nomination. I’ve been criticizing conservatives, but they aren’t that bad!
AND PEGGY NOONAN?
I told you the woman has lost it. Want proof? The woman detests GWB but is pandering to Barack Obama. Go figure.
A RANT
We are all racists. Anyone who says they aren’t isn’t telling the truth – or lying to him/herself. No, very few of us are dripping seething racists, but we all have personal prejudices. In full disclosure, I don’t get along very well with the French. They don’t get along very well with me. That’s not racist, but it is silly. I come from a family of mixed racial views. My father’s parents were never charitable towards Catholics or anyone who dared to consume alcoholic beverages. My mother’s parents were accepting of anyone, no matter gender, race, or orientation. I have no idea what happened to the rest of the family. My parents raised my sister and I to be accepting of almost anyone as long as they were “acceptable of character”. We don’t care – don’t give a rip about race, religion, gender, or orientation. It doesn’t matter as long as someone is a decent person. I have a very serious bias against ballet and the dance of any sort which my mother and sister love. My sister, on the other hand, cannot tolerate opera which our mother and I crave. My father and I have serious problems with Democrats!
The rest of the family? White, black, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, gay, straight, and GOP is fine. Not acceptable are Hispanics or Democrats, or anyone on welfare!
In other words we are normal people. Normal people – all people – have the right to like or not to like any given person at any given time. Normal people go about their normal lives and know who and what they are. They have no need to join organizations or churches for identity. Normal people have an identity. When you get into those who seek alternative situations for identity, we’re dealing with personality disorders or other neurosis.
Normal people do not go to a church where one race is promoted above the other. Sorry, doesn’t matter what race you are. Racism and hate are racism and hate, no matter how you deal with it.
If you go back and read into the background of Barack Obama, it is rather obvious he grew up in a terribly dysfunctional home with a grandfather that must have treated his grandmother like dirt. If you watch the way Obama has behaved toward Hillary you can see that almost abusive patronizing attitude. I noted it at the time, but knew little of Obama's background. Coming from a dysfunctional background does not render a person incapable of being POTUS. Dysfunctional personality disorders do.
CHARACTER COUNTS
We learn from the Politico that character is going to be an important part of his campaign.
I think that is why John McCain was so quick to castigate Soren Dayton. Turk at Kung Fu Quip is very upset about this, but if McCain is campaigning on character, then the old Caesar’s Wife clause must be applied. Matt Lewis is another who is unhappy about the action. Then there is Ruffini who feels much the same way.
The New Republic highlights some information that has great insight into Barack Obama’s character. (thanks SV)
“…This adulation is a far cry from how Obama was received by Wright when they first met in the mid-'80s, during Obama's initial round of one-on-ones. Like Smalls, Wright was unimpressed. "They were going to bring all different denominations together to have this grassroots movement," explained Wright, a white-haired man with a goatee and a booming voice. "I looked at him and I said, Do you know what Joseph's brother said when they saw him coming across the field?'" Obama said he didn't. "I said, Behold the dreamer! You're dreaming if you think you are going to do that.'"
From Wright and others, Obama learned that part of his problem as an organizer was that he was trying to build a confederation of churches but wasn't showing up in the pews on Sunday. When pastors asked him the inevitable questions about his own spiritual life, Obama would duck them uncomfortably. A Reverend Philips put the problem to him squarely when he learned that Obama didn't attend services. "It might help your mission if you had a church home," he told Obama. "It doesn't matter where, really. What you're asking from pastors requires us to set aside some of our more priestly concerns in favor of prophesy. That requires a good deal of faith on our part. It makes us want to know just where you're getting yours from."
After many lectures like this, Obama decided to take a second look at Wright's church. Older pastors warned him that Trinity was for "Buppies"--black urban professionals--and didn't have enough street cred. But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity's guiding principles--what the church calls the "Black Value System"--included a "Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.'"…”

I think that says enough, don’t you?
