WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6
Spring Training Starts On Feb 14!

The very best part of Ash Wednesday is forty days later (not counting Sundays) is Easter Sunday.  We can get out the White shoes and spring clothes, not matter how cold it is!

ASH WEDNESDAY EDITION
Custom requires that we give something  up for Lent.  This noon, when I went to sit back down after receiving HE, I went to open the kneeler.  It slammed me in both shins.  I think made a few profane remarks under my breath that began with “H”, “D” and “S”.  It hurt like you know ...   more »

FORGIVING BIG MAC

I think it is time to call a truce.  I am tired of the fighting.  It is counter-productive.  It is hurting us, and it is empowering “the enemy”.  And – when I say “the enemy” I am talking about the Democrats.  It is Lent, a time for reflection, penance, forgiveness, and personal growth.  I don’t quite understand how vilifying a decent human being so that Rush Limbaugh can cover up for his abject hatred of the man is going to do anyone any good.   This said, I am terribly impressed with Hugh Hewitt and am sorry I ...   more »

(I have no idea what I’m giving ...   more »

60TH EDITION THURSDAY THIRTEEN
THE TOMBSTONE DINNER PARTY
THIRTEEN GUESTS

I thought since last week’s dinner party was such an absolute disaster, I would go back to Tombstone and dine there.  We would eat at in the Don T’s Room at the Lamplighter at the Tombstone Boarding House Bed & Breakfast.  Juan de Granada would be providing the entertainment with his exquisite and virtuoso classical guitar.  We would all be sipping one of Don T’s infamous margaritas (trust me) and dining on Mexican food.  I would, as usual, be making a spectacle of myself as I consumed  embarrassingly large quantities ...   more »
