The Pink Flamingo :: We Are Not Amused & Threats to Non-Supporters

I have several selections of problems dealing with Barack Obama. Once again, the MSM is fawning over him, like that very funny SNL skit on Saturday. They aren’t even complaining when his campaign treats them like dirt. Would someone like to explain what is going on here?

First, why isn’t the MSM paying attention to the Rezko affair?

“…A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Barack Obama's fundraiser just weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the presidential contender, an investigation by The Times discloses. The money transfer raises the question of whether funds from Nadhmi Auchi, one of Britain’s wealthiest men, helped Mr Obama buy his mock Georgian mansion in Chicago. A company related to Mr Auchi, who has a conviction for corruption in France, registered the loan to Mr Obama's bagman Antoin "Tony" Rezko on May 23 2005. Mr Auchi says the loan, through the Panamanian company Fintrade Services SA, was for $3.5 million….”

Evidently today during the press conference where Chris Dodd endorsed Obama, the adoringly abused MSM never bothered with the question about his finances.

Then there is “The Photo” and the assumption that Team Clinton forwarded it to Drudge, starting a feeding frenzy about how evil Hillary Clinton is. Problem is, we don’t know who sent it and it is possible Hillary is telling the truth.

I think Barack Obama’s reaction to this photo is most revealing. Instead of doing an in your face and “so” he because angry and defensive. Obama has become He Who Must Not Be Mocked. It shows the man has no sense of humor. Have you ever run across a half-way decent POTUS who has not had a very healthy sense of humor? It appears as though Obama has the arrogance of a dictator – WE ARE NOT AMUSED.

BLACK LEADERS BEING THREATENED
Last night I posted about Larry Sinclair receiving threats from Obama supporters. Evidently this part of his story just might be true. It appears as though this is not an isolated event. Marc Sheppard at American Thinker has more.

The very prospect of physical intimidation as a means of garnering political compliance from Americans awakens frightening images of the thuggish antics of one William M "Boss" Tweed in mid-nineteenth century New York…. Not surprisingly, no one in the black community has come forward with specific complaints…

Smiley has hosted the annual symposium … This year, Barack Obama declined an invitation -- accepted by … The Illinois senator and presidential hopeful's unexpected rejection prompted a disappointed Smiley to blast the decision as a "major mistake," and that's when the trouble allegedly began.

The perceived racial apostasy apparently sparked not only thousands of angry emails labeling Smiley as a "hater, sellout and traitor," but also the relentless harassment of his entire family. And, while he has yet to elaborate, Smiley has also mentioned the matter of death threats - levied for the mere suggestion that the mighty Obama had somehow erred. …"There are some black elected officials who have earned their stripes, who've had to change their phone numbers two or three times because of the calls being made to them about the positions they are taking in this election. Shame on us. Shame on us. That we would beat down black elected officials who've paid their duty and their time.

"I'm saying to you that I don't care what happens, I'm for Hillary, someone else is for Barack Obama, but we're going to stand up - the black caucus is the conscience of the nation and we're going to stand up and do our thing no matter what happens."….”

This whole thing reminds me of Ron Paul and his supporters. Do you remember when it was revealed that Paul was not denouncing his more – uummmm – scary supporters like neo-Nazis? I think this is the problem here. Barack Obama needs to come out and clearly denounce these supporters and decry their tactics.

THE CULT OF OBAMA
I don’t mind admitting I have a grudge against Barack Obama. Do you think I like the fact that I now feel sorry for Hillary and am rooting for her? The poor thing can’t do anything right. Obama is the messiah, she is Jezebel, tool of the devil. It doesn’t matter what she does, he slams her and the media falls lock-step and adoringly behind him. Take the Mali photo. What’s the big deal? Instead of laughing it off and showing a sense of humor (which he obviously does not have) the Obama Campaign assumes the royal We Are Not Amused stance.

I’m wondering if things around the Obama Messianic Bus are getting a little testy because they are reading their tracking polls, which are starting to dip.

What might Obama’s first year in office be like?

AJ Strata has been writing about the Cult of Obama for several days. This is his most recent entry.

But this is a year when the likely Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, has set a new standard for press accessibility, creating a potentially stark general election contrast between a reticent Democrat and the most accessible GOP nominee in decades….”

Right Voices

There is a bottom line here. If Barack Obama were being subjected to the same treatment as any other NORMAL candidate for POTUS, I don't think he would even be in the campaign at this point. Any of these issues would stop any other candidate dead in their tracks. Why is Obama allowed to get away with this?
