The Pink Flamingo :: The Long Awaited NYTimes Big Mac Attack

I think the disgusting article the NYTimes has just dumped on Senator McCain is the perfect segue to the Roger Clemens problem. I guarantee the NYTimes hit comes out of or is in defense of Obamarama. Have you noticed how Michelle Obama is now off everyone’s front pages? Coincidence? I don’t think so. I was going to do some extensive coverage of the Clemens problem and what I’ve discovered, but I’m holding the story back until tomorrow. Right now I’m hitting the latest Big Mac Attack.

Drudge tried to run with the story awhile back, but a few blogs like The Pink Flamingo helped pull the plug on the story because it went nowhere and Drudge was obviously shilling for the Romney camp. The question now is who is promoting the story? I find the timing highly suspicious. I also find the fact that liberal and Obama supporting blogs are hitting the story so quickly. Over at Memorandum while I was working at 8:00 – 8:15 time frame, all the coverage came out of liberal blogs. Very few conservative blogs are carrying the story, and it is now 8:50 (Memorandum time).

Flap questions Drudge.

Several things could be at play here.
1. It is a hit from a GOP competitor who still wants to win the nomination. I am discounting this one because of the quickness the “Obama” blogs jumped on the story. Allahpundit at Hot Air is forced to defend Big Mac (I’m loving this part) and has a history of what may be the background of the story.

2. It was released now to stop the Michelle Obama hemorrhage that has now disappeared from the front pages. Did you know she gave the same speech 2X’s in one day – not just once?

3. It was released to keep the blogsphere off the sleazy story about Obama’s little one thingie in 1999 with the gay guy and the limo, and the hotel room, the coke and the crack. The one thing about this little story is the guy behind it has offered to take a lie-detector test. The NYTimes piece will not name names behind their allegations. Is it possible the little limo story is true?

4. All you know what was about to break on the whole campaign Obama. Doug Ross has some fascinating thoughts on what is coming.

Sunday I had some questions about Obama and the way he plays the game.
I mentioned that he has a history. You read and decide. I think I also said I would not breath easy until the official nomination process and convention were over. There are some very nasty people creeping around back stage.

I’m not even going to question the timing of their attack. Why bother?

GROSS MISCALCULATION?

I am beginning to wonder if someone has not made a gross miscalculation? So far I've seen two extreme anti-McCain bloggers come to his defense to the point where they will probably vote for him. Hannity is livid. Is this the (cheap) shot in the arm conservatives needed to cause them to flock to McCain's side and defend him against the NYTimes? If so, someone has made a very big mistake.
