I never link my TT's to Linkfest Heaven Deluxe, but I am doing so today. Most of the political junkies there will understand when they see two of the commercials. My mother has been heard saying (many times) that often the commercials are better than the television programs. Sometimes they are. Below you will find thirteen commercials (a couple trailers) that I find either funny, or are some of my favorites. You are also going to find a Ronald Reagan commercial that would make you wonder...! The first two are my very, very favorite all time commercials. When they would come on TV, everything stopped and all the kitties and doggies would gather around to watch it. Okay, we have a problem and I need a life. But, I get a kick out of it.
Today is my sister's birthday, but you will notice no sentimentality out of me. I will give a promotional spot to her new project, Cafe Eclectic, (630 North McLean Blvd. Memphis) which is scheduled to open on Monday! (She's only serving breakfast - all day - for a week or so). If you live in Memphis, drop in on her and con a cup of Lilly expresso out of her. Tell her to put it on my tab. (Tell her you read it on The Pink Flamingo).
1. My all time favorite commercial of all time
2. Another version of my all time favorite commercial
3. A commercial for Vitametavengamine
4. A politically incorrect (in this household) one about cats
5. The favorite commercial of some people in this family
6. A trailer for my all time favorite movie
7. This isn't a commercial, but the scenery is great (and I'm not talking flora or fauna)
8. The single best political ad ever produced (okay, it's a New Mexico thing)
OMG!!!!! These are fantastic! Most fun I've had in weeks.
Ron and Patti doing the Boraxo ad... and it's good!
The Indiana Jones trailer... finally, a movie to actually look forward too. Harrison looks great!
Also, did you recognize Pete Rose's female lead in the Aqua Velva commercial? That's Betty Buckley -- one of the all time greatest singer/storytellers in my opinion. I've met her twice, seen her perform live in a very intimate setting, and have her autographed photo hanging in my living room. I own all of her albums. Try Heart To Heart or her Evening at Carnegie Hall albums. She also played the coach in the movie Carrie, starred in CATS on Broadway, and played the Mom on the TV series Eight is Enough.
After "The Rockford Files", "Magnum P.I." is my all-time favorite detective series. The opening credits sequence was cool too. I was surprised to see a young Patti Reagan pop up in her dad's commercial for Borax. When I was a little kid, I remember my mother used to watch "Death Valley Days" in reruns on Sunday afternoon.
You know, of course, that Ron and I aren't great friends but dang he's hot in your vid. PHEW!! I do love coming to visit your page and world. I love the way you support, care. Cool.

From The Gal Herself at One Gal's Musings -- I barely remember the Pete Rose commercial from the original run, but it sure was trippy to see that Moe Howard haircut again. And any day that includes Vitametavegamine is a good day. (How could Lucy ever be unpoopular?) Thanks for stopping by my TT
It's going to take me a while to get through these but I look forward to it! This is the first TT I've managed to visit today. I can't get the TT site to load. :(
Great list! Unfortunately I am on my husband's laptop w/o speakers! bummer! I'll have to come back to this one when I return home in a few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by Miller Manor. The Queen is our dog, so named for the way she bosses everyone around and carries herself so regally. She is a Skye terrier, mostly deaf and needing glasses, but she brings a great amount of amusement to our lives.
