EVITA OBAMA
Sally Vee sent me a URL to Hugh Hewitt’s commentary on Michelle “Evita” Obama’s latest.  The woman is on an ego trip.  I’m quick to tell you when I disagree with Malkin, well, here I agree!  She links to Captain Ed who has a transcript.
“…In 2008, we are still a nation that is too divided. We live in isolation, and because of that isolation, we fear one another. We don't know our neighbors, we don't talk, we believe our pain is our own. We don't realize that the struggles and challenges of all of us are the same. We are too isolated. And we are still a nation that is still too cynical. We look at it as "them" and "they" as opposed to "us". We don't engage because we are still too cynical. ... Americans are not in debt because they live frivolously but because someone got sick. Even with insurance, the deductibles and the premiums are so high that people are still putting medications and treatments on credit cards. And they can't get out from under. I could go on and on, but this is how we're living, people, in 2008. And things have gotten progressively worse throughout my lifetime, through Democratic and Republican administrations, it hasn't gotten better for regular folks. ....We have lost the understanding that in a democracy, we have a mutual obligation to one another -- that we cannot measure the greatness of our society by the strongest and richest of us, but we have to measure our greatness by the least of these. That we have to compromise and sacrifice for one another in order to get things done. That is why I am here, because Barack Obama is the only person in this who understands that. That before we can work on the problems, we have to fix our souls. Our souls are broken in this nation….”

NOTE TO EVITA:  There's nothing wrong with my soul.  If you don't understand what the soul is, then you are in deep you know what. Souls do not "break" because we are not socialists like you and your ward-healer husband.

I told you Barack Obama was acting like a rock star.  Remember when John Lennon said the Beatles were more important than God?  Speaking of which, the church where Obama goes is part a group of churches that endes up being in full communion with the ECUSA.

Is Evita Obama the “Queen of Heaven”?
Sister Toldjah has an excellent commentary and You Tube links to the speech.
Obama rigging his rallies – Flopping Aces has the dirt on this one.  Rick Moore of Holy Coast discovered that the same woman is the one fainting. Maybe we’re dealing with another Jim & Tammy! Radio Voice

Are Obama supporters simply following the “flock mentality”?  Evidently only 5% of the human population are leaders and the rest are followers.  Thanks heavens I am not part of that 95%.  I find “following” a leader to be the most dehumanizing, repulsive, and vile thing there is.  I refuse to be led.  Evidently the Obama followers don’t feel this way. Read the Science News explanation why.
“…Results from a study at the University of Leeds show that it takes a minority of just five per cent to influence a crowd’s direction – and that the other 95 per cent follow without realising it….”

SUPERDELEGATES
According to the Politico, Obama is not fooling the youthful superdelegate.
“…According to a Politico analysis, just six of the 19 youngest superdelegates favor Obama. Sen. Hillary Clinton has support from four of these superdelegates, with 9 others remaining uncommitted.  Figures compiled by Politico show that, in the overall superdelegate count at the moment, Clinton leads Obama with 242 superdelegates to his 160.5. There are 318.5 uncommitted superdelegates. (Some superdelegates only receive a half-vote.)  Obama’s softness among the youngest of superdelegates is unusual given his popularity with young voters in general — he has captured the under-30 youth vote in all but three states so far. In a closely-divided nominating contest that might be decided by the more than 700 Democratic superdelegates, the loss of even a few could prove costly, not to mention ironic if those superdelegates came from one of Obama’s demographic strongholds.  Young superdelegates haven’t exactly rejected Obama. Rather, many of them are proving to be politically savvy when it comes to leveraging their influence.

A number of these superdelegates said in interviews that they believe they can better affect the way campaigns approach young voters if they stay above the fray and refrain from endorsing either candidate. The two top officers of the College Democrats of America, for instance, are both superdelegates and neither are taking sides.  “My priority is working with both campaigns on youth outreach,” explained Awais Khaleel, 23, the CDA vice president. “Long before anybody was talking about superdelegates I had been in touch with senior staff members of the campaigns to make sure they keep young people as part of their campaign infrastructure.” …”

THE BEST THING ABOUT OBAMA

Barack Obama may end up uniting the GOP in ways Hillary Clinton could never do.  Just read Mark Steyn.
“…A few days ago, a local news team went to shoot some film at the Houston campaign headquarters for Obama. Behind the desks of the perky gals answering the phones were posters of Che Guevara and Cuban flags. Needless to say, the news reporters were either indifferent to this curious veneration or too sensitive to mention it, and it was left to the right-wing extremist Roy Rogers fascists of the blogosphere to point it out.

Do Obama’s volunteers even know who Che is? Apart from being a really cool guy on posters and T-shirts, like James Dean or Bart Simpson, I doubt it. They’re pseudo-revolutionaries. Very few people in America want a real revolution: Life is great, this is a terrific country, with unparalleled economic opportunities. To be sure, it’s a tougher break if you have the misfortune to be the victim of one of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs or a decrepit inner-city grade school with a higher per-student budget than the wealthiest parts of Switzerland. But even so, to be born a U.S. citizen is, as Cecil Rhodes once said of England, to win first prize in the lottery of life. Not even Obama supporters want real revolution: They’re messy, your cities get torched, the economy collapses, much of your talent flees. Ask the many peoples around the world for whom revolution means not a lame-o Sixties poster above your desk but the carnage and horror of the day before yesterday…”

Wizbang on Obama, Florida and Michigan.  If Obama does not want the delegates from those two states seated, is he dooming the Dem’s electoral chances in November?

THE SOUTH-SIDE EVITA?
Let's ponder one other little thing.  Is it possible Evita Obama is the brains behind the operation?  I'm beginning to think she's using and molding her little hubby in ways Hillary only dreamed of doing.  I still don't think he's all that bright.  Have you bothered to read his position papers?  Like his rhetoric there is nothing in them.
From the NY Times
“…Many people I talked to afterward found Michelle wondrous. But others worried that her chiding was emasculating, casting her husband -- under fire for lacking experience -- as an undisciplined child. At a March fund-raiser in New York, she tweaked her husband for not ''putting his socks actually in the dirty clothes.'' And at a lunch last week with Chicago women, she gave the candidate a fed-up look about that melting butter and said, ''I'm like: 'You're just asking for it. You know I'm giving a speech about you today.' ... She throws in nice stuff, too, about how he's ''the real deal'' and a trustworthy ''brother.'' But this princess of South Chicago, a formidable Princeton and Harvard Law School grad, wants us to know that she's not polishing the pedestal. The Chicago Tribune profile of ''Barack's Rock'' on Sunday noted that her career had caused her husband discomfort: ''Critics have pointed out that her income has risen along with her husband's political ascent. She sits on the board of a food company that supplies Wal-Mart, which Sen. Obama has denounced for its labor practices.''...

The Obamas are both skeptical of hype. Michelle dryly told a reporter at her husband's Senate swearing-in that perhaps someday, he would do something to earn all the attention he was getting. But it may not be smart politics to mock him in a way that turns him from the glam J.F.K. into the mundane Gerald Ford, toasting his own English muffins. If all Senator Obama is peddling is the Camelot mystique, why debunk the mystique? Besides, the coolly detached candidate, striving to seem substantive, is good at turning down the heat himself. He manages to tamp down crowds dying to be electrified. He resists surfing his own wave of excitement.

Michelle conveys the appealing idea that she will tell her husband when he's puffed up or out of line. She aims high -- she ordered her husband to stop puffing on cigarettes as he started campaigning. But then, why didn't she see the red flags on the Rezko deal? In order to get a bigger yard for their new house on Chicago's South Side in 2005, the Obamas got into what the senator now confesses was a ''boneheaded'' real estate arrangement with a sleazy political dealmaker named Tony Rezko, who has been indicted on influence-peddling charges. On Monday, The Chicago Sun-Times reported more shady Rezko news: ''Obama, who has worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems,'' from a lack of heat to no lack of drug dealers and squatters….”

To be fair – a Con Web Watch explanation of the feinting.

Barack Obama is nothing but a shady Chicago socialist?

Prairie Pundit has an interesting take on things. Quoted is Chicago media personality Gary Benson.
“…Guy Benson is a radio personality in Chicago and is not related to the PrairiePundit. He does get to the central weakness of the Obama candidacy. He has accomplished nothing in his legislative career and has not really been tested as a candidate. for all practical purpose he has run unopposed in his previous races. He turned the tide against Hillary Clinton by being critical of her stance on Drivers licenses for aliens which was identical to hsi own at the time. His stance on the war is uninformed by a knowledge of history or warfare or the current facts on the situation in Iraq. It is all about emotion and appealing to the kooks in the Democrat party who want to lose the war….”

QUESTIONABLE FINANCES
“…Norquist believes Obama’s questionable Chicago connections will stir things further.
The city has a reputation for corruption from the days when Al Capone and his mob ran the town in the 1920s. Obama is tainted by his long association with Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Chicago property developer who is scheduled to go on trial for extorting kickbacks in return for political favours on March 3, the day before the Ohio and Texas primaries.

Obama bought his family home in Chicago for $1.65m, $300,000 less than the asking price, on the day that Rezko’s wife Rita bought an adjoining lot at the full price of $650,000. Obama later paid her $105,000 for a sixth of her yard in order to expand his garden.  The seller insisted on both plots being sold together, which suggests that Rezko did Obama an enormous favour even if the deal was not illegal. The seller has so far evaded press inquiries, but he is regarded as a potential “ticking timebomb” should he decide to go public. Clinton briefly raised the question of Rezko, whom she described as a “slum landlord”, in a televised debate with Obama in California, but was silenced when a 1990s picture emerged of her with Rezko and President Bill Clinton. Obama has returned around $85,000 in campaign contributions from Rezko….”
