JUST LUMP HIM IN WITH SOROS?
I saw a posting on The Hill Chronicles that truly annoyed me today. It is the perfect example of how World Net Daily, Jerome Corsi, and the Tanton hate machine have sucked in good, decent people with their lies. John McCain’s Reform Institute is damned by taking a donation from the Tides Foundation because they took a $4 million donation from Teresa Heinz Kerry. The organization is also damned because Corsi says that Arianna Huffington has been on it’s advisory board. “…Arianna Huffington, syndicated columnist and creator of the HuffingtonPost.com, has served on the Reform Institute’s advisory committee since the group’s inception....”
Look for her name on the list – it’s not there. One of the other reasons McCain is an evil person is because of Dr. Juan Hernandez, who has been turned into a scape-goat for all that is evil in a conservative witch hunt.

What it is all about
The donors list is completely transparent
I really love this stuff (it is Lent and I have given up swearing – right now I wish I could). The Hill Chronicles links to an out-dated piece on Captain’s Quarters which is another little out-reach trying to take out John McCain. This is the most ludicrous pile of dodo I’ve seen. At least the Reform Institute has the guts to list all of its donors, which is more than FAIR, or any of the John Tanton organizations does.
The real problem with conservatives today is this damnation factor (I'm not using profanity as profanity). There is this system of lies, half-truths, and vicious rumor-mongering. People who are not ideologically pure are turned into some sort of monsters - like the living dead, dripping blood, and body parts. People who aren't acceptable are treated like freaks. If the conservative line is not followed exactly, then the ideological base is vicious. This same base is accusing Barack Obama of starting a cult. They should know, that's how they act.
Source Watch on The Tides Foundation You might also want to read this about the conservative plan to defund liberal organizations. Conservatives target the Tides Foundation.
The Front Page Mag piece about Tides.
“…Teresa Heinz Kerry has financed the secretive Tides Foundation to the tune of more than $4 million over the years. The Tides Foundation, a “charity” established in 1976 by antiwar leftist activist Drummond Pike, distributes millions of dollars in grants every year to political organizations advocating far-Left causes. The Tides Foundation and its closely allied Tides Center, which was spun off from the Foundation in 1996 but run by Drummond Pike, distributed nearly $66 million in grants in 2002 alone. In all, Tides has distributed more than $300 million for the Left. These funds went to rabid antiwar demonstrators, anti-trade demonstrators, domestic Islamist organizations, pro-terrorists legal groups, environmentalists, abortion partisans, extremist homosexual activists and open borders advocates.
During the years 1995-2001, the Howard Heinz Endowment, which Heinz Kerry chairs, gave Tides more than $4.3 million. The combined Heinz Endowments (composed of the Howard Heinz Endowment and the Vira I. Heinz Endowment) donated $1.6 million to establish the Tides Center for Western Pennsylvania, a Pittsburgh office of the San Francisco-based Tides Center. Since that time, the local branch has tirelessly pushed an anti-business agenda in the name of “preserving the environment.” However, it is the Tides Foundation’s national organization whose connections are most disconcerting.
The Tides Foundation is a major source of revenue for some of the most extreme groups on the Left. Tides allows donors to anonymously contribute money to a host of causes; the donor simply makes the check out to Tides and instructs the Foundation where to forward the money. Tides does so. The Tides Center will even manage a left-wing project, for a nominal fee. Drummond Pike told The Chronicle of Philanthropy, “Anonymity is very important to most of the people we work with.” That becomes understandable when one views the list of Tides grant recipients. And who are the beneficiaries of this money?...”

IMMIGRATION IS THE TICKET
This is all about immigration reform, nothing more nothing less. FAIR is the brainchild of The Puppetmaster, John Tanton. It is all about Zero Population Growth.
How about Numbers USA?
Right Wing Watch on John Tanton
“…According to Tolerance.org, a project of the Southern Poverty Law Center: "The organized anti-immigration 'movement' is almost entirely the handiwork of one man, Michigan activist John. H. Tanton." In June 2002, it listed thirteen groups that formed part of the "loose-knit Tanton network." The following groups were founded and funded (through U.S. Inc.) by Tanton: Center for Immigration Studies, Federation for American Immigration Reform, NumbersUSA, Pro English, Social Contract Press, U.S. English, and U.S. Inc. Others, such as American Immigration Control Foundation, American Patrol/Voices of Citizens Together, Californians for Population Stabilization, ProjectUSA, are part of the Tanton network because their funding has been channeled through U.S. Inc. Another organization cited by Tolerance.Org, as part of the network is Population-Environment Balance, because Tanton had joined its board. (1)
Replying to a critique by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Tanton wrote: "Having suffered the slings, arrows, barbs, insults, cheap shots, and body blows that have come as a result of taking a position in opposition to mass immigration, I would certainly not have reservations about claiming credit for being the guy secretly manipulating U.S. immigration policy." He concludes on an ironic note, saying that if he were the powerful puppeteer of the immigration restrictionist movement then why have immigration levels to the United States been steadily rising since he started his fight for tighter controls on immigration flows. (11)
According to Tanton, he is not against immigration but is an opponent of mass or massive immigration because it is not in his self-interest or that of other U.S. citizens. "Most Americans," writes Tanton, "oppose mass immigration because mass immigration is not in their interests. They are guilty of looking out for themselves and their perceived interests-exactly as the immigrants and their supporters do." Elaborating on the self-interest argument, Tanton explains. "Americans do not see the loss of their jobs or wages to immigrants to be in their interests. They do not see the crowding of their children's schools with large numbers of kids who have language and other difficulties to be in their interests. They do not see rapid cultural and linguistic transformations of their neighborhoods to be in their interests."…”
