OBAMACONS WERE REAL
I hate being right.
I TOLD YOU SO.
You can’t trust ideological conservatives. They make a big deal about what they believe, then a full 20% of them voted for Barack Obama. They betrayed their country by voting for the most liberal candidate imaginable.
There are some interesting stats posted up on Race42008.
“…People who voted for Bush last time split 80-20, with only 80% of them voting for McCain.
As Jim Geraghty notes, it’s a little difficult to win when you bleed 20% of your previous party support.
Comparatively, Obama won 90% of the Kerry voters from 2004.
Self-described Conservatives made up 35% of the voting population (while self-described liberals comprised only 22%), but a full 20% of conservatives voted for Obama — one piece of evidence showing this was not an election based on ideology (as I will explore later).
Comparatively, only 9% of liberals voted for McCain….”

This is a recipe for disaster.
So called “conservative” Republicans are running around screaming and crying and pulling their hair out, saying the sky is falling.
Well, maybe they are responsible for Barack Obama’s victory – a good 20% are.
Just think, 20% TWENTY PERCENT of conservatives who voted for George W. Bush voted for Barack Obama.
90% of Republicans voted for John McCain. But – 20% of conservatives voted for Barack Obama. Think about it.

So now, everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Sean Hannity are wringing their little hands and wailing. They are pulling their hair. They have rent their clothes. They are throwing ashes on their faces as they face the asteroid of doom.
We are doomed.
We’re dying as a party.
We’re all going to die.
The end is near.
Repent.
The conservative pundits are out in force burying the GOP. (I’m not linking to them, you find them yourself). They come not to praise the GOP, but to bury it.
The Republican Party is dead, dead as a doornail.
Unless – the GOP was betrayed by the same conservatives who decided to teach “us” a lesson and voted in the appalling Democratic majority in the House and Senate back in 2006.
Funny how no one is mentioning this.
Instead, the same people conservatives who may have voted for Barack Obama (and don’t have the courage to admit it) may also be the ones crying that the GOP is dead.
I’ve been telling Pink Flamingo readers for several years now that there are a specific group of conservatives who do not have the best interest of the Republican Party. Now they are basically sandbagging the party while all the little ignorant ‘we hate McCain’ conservatives blithely follow them.
It’s time for these people to step aside and let the adults run things for awhile. We aren’t going to cut and run when the going gets tough.
Twenty percent of conservatives voted for Barack Obama.
Were their numbers enough to put him over the top.
If so, quit running around crying about the GOP dying and ferret out the traitors and expose them. They don’t have the courage to admit they voted for Barack Obama. What do you want to bet they are the ones doing the most finger-pointing?
The GOP is not dead.
The GOP was betrayed by conservative traitors.
Deal with it.
Then, shut up and act like adults.
Have the courage to admit you helped elect Barack Obama POTUS. Quit disparaging John McCain.
Dime con quien andas y te digo quien eres.
