No Politics on TV for Me Today!

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 I took the political day off, not watching any news on television. Instead, I've drowned myself in Star Trek. That final scene in First Contact where the Vulcans land is absolutely reverent. It also holds the promise of the future. No matter how badly the political world screws up, one of these days we're going to make it into space, have our own federation, hang out with Vulcans and Klingons, - it will all happen after I'm gone. (Durn)! But there is promise, either that or I've cracked under the strain of the past week.

For the past few years it has been quite vogue for archaeologists to consider King David nothing but a myth. Unfortunately, they've been having to change some of their text books lately.
