HOW DUMB CAN YOU BE?
(Let me count the ways)The Democrats excel at corruption. They are so good at it, so excellent they have turned it into an art form. They can almost literally “get away with murder” they are “so good”.
The GOP just can’t seem to get it’s act together when it comes to being morally corrupt. They get caught every time. Unlike their Democratic counterparts, when Republicans get caught, instead of closing ranks around the “accused’ they act like a deer in the headlights of a big-rig, unable to move. Sometimes, they are a little too “honest” to ultimately get away with the crime, and not crooked enough not to get caught.
Everyone and their grandmother will make a heck of a lot of noise about the criminally inclined Republican, then usually he manages to wriggle out of the problem the way Larry Craig did.
BUT
Let someone be wrongfully accused and by golly we don’t wait to play judge and jury. No Sir! We force the them out of office, no questions asked.
WHY?
There’s a simple answer.
Republicans are the party of stupid. You’ve seen the t-shirt “I’m with stupid” – well that’s how it feels to be a Republican most of the time. I’m with stupid.
I think that should be our new party motto: I’m with Stupid!
After blowing the Hispanic vote and watching 20% of all the 34% of self identified conservatives vote for Obama what do we do?
(I’m using the rhetorical “we”)
Well, we go back to the failed policies of hard-core immigration reform so we can insult and alienate the remaining Hispanic voters.
Those loudmouth and obnoxious 14% of the party (if they are indeed GOP) now think that they have this mandate from god (Rush Limbaugh) to pull the party farther to the right.
What’s wrong with this picture?
How about ‘I’m with Stupid!’?
How long are the rest of us going to put up with this baloney?
It is now reaching the pint where the 86% of us who are reasonable “conservatives” - i.e. normal human beings, need to stand up and tell these people to either shut up and sit down or go play with someone else.
Because the GOP is a “big tent” the latter isn’t going to happen.
Unfortunately we need these people even if a goodly percentage of them do not vote GOP.
I have a feeling the standard answer will be eventually find its way to the surface like a slimy piece of fetid fungus. They wanted to teach the GOP a lesson for nominating John McCain instead of the ghost of Ronald Reagan.
These were the same people who wanted to teach the GOP a lesson and voted for all those lovely Blue Dog Democrats who promised to be “conservative” but did give the Dems the House and the Senate in 2006.
Let’s be honest. The last thing we want these sore-heads to do is go Third Party Losers.
They would then consign the GOP to a lost cause. They would run impotent 3rd party losers who would split the vote the way they have done in Georgia and Minnesota.
The only real answer for that Blessed 14% is to GROW UP!
