The Pink Flamingo :: The New Battle Cry: Kill the RINOS?

After Ted Nugent wrote that outrageously short-sighted and abjectly stupid piece for Human Events that basically calls for open season on all RINOS, other easily led conservatives are chiming in. I’m not linking because I don’t want to give him that much credit. And, I never did like his music.

It’s all part of the “great GOP civil war” or is it? I remember 4 years the Democratic Party was dead and buried. While we were celebrating their demise, they became terribly liberal. While Republicans in the House were becoming so corrupt they felt they could act like Democrats, in 2006 we lost the House. Then the great 2008 debacle occurred where 20% of self identified conservatives voted for Barack Obama.

So now, these same conservatives, or those who have done nothing but lam-blast John McCain and George W. Bush have decided THEY are the only ones pure enough to be considered Republicans. Michael Medved has expressed concern that he feels if the GOP were to truly and seriously lose these same outrageous conservatives who have absolutely NO hope of ever winning an actual election would do just that. Reasonable thinking Republicans are terrified of these less than balanced individuals who want to do to the GOP want the ultra liberals have done to the DNC.

Why are moderates so evil?

Most Americans consider themselves “center right”.

How do these ultra conservatives expect to win elections with a minority of individuals. In all likely hood we’re only dealing with about 14% of the voting population.

There is a word for conservatives like this:

LOSER

It would be truly exciting and wonderful if these alleged conservatives who claim to allegedly worship Ronald Reagan would actually acquaint themselves with Ronald Reagan. Their false god would never be so narrow minded. Ronald Reagan would be the first person to refuse to be deified. He would also be the first person to decry the fact that his alleged cult of worshippers want to eject people from the party who were his friends and most ardent supporters.

Moderates are considered evil. Once upon a time, before our culture became so abjectly ignorant, moderation was considered a virtue.

But then the ignorant wretches who occupy our society probably have never even heard of Aristotle.

Go look it up.

While you’re at it, why not play with your own kind of conservatives and leave the GOP alone before you doom us to a generation of loosing. You’ve already destroyed the Hispanic vote.

Ronald Reagan would be the first person to denounce these individuals. He was a man of tolerance, kindness, and inclusiveness. If you agreed with him 80% of the time, you and he were on the same side.

Which Ronald Reagan are the new conservatives following, the real one or their blighted version of what he was not?

Do these people want an attaboy club or do they want to win elections?

There are so few actual conservatives of their ilk, they are basically delusional if they think their way is going to win friends, elections, and influence people.
