The Pink Flamingo :: The Emerging Cult of Obamamessiah

A number of blogs are discussing the fact that there appears to be a "cult" emerging around The One. I see talk of a "holiday" but honestly, this can't possibly be taken seriously, can it?

MacRanger is going to be doing a series examining the theory that the The One is "The Anti-Christ".

I'm not an "anti-Christ" kind of gal. I'm more in the school that anyone who opposes Christ is "anti-Christ". I also subscribe to the theory that there have been a number of "anti-Christ" figures in history including Nero, Caligula, Hitler, Stalin, etc. I think the one person today who embodies the very attributes of "anti-Christ" is George Soros.

FYI, I had a beloved aunt who was positive Henry Kissenger was the anti-Christ!

The truth be known, I am far more concerned with the religion Oprah appears to be trying to create with the help of some of her New Age associates, and the hold she has on her brain-dead viewers. I'm also concerned about the influence she had on this election. Let's face it, if Oprah had not used her entertainment empire to promote The One, Hillary Clinton would probably be President-Elect.

Both Oprah and The One are playing with fire if they are working on a new religion. The dabbling Oprah is doing with New Age is not good from my Christian perspective. I have no patience with New Age, nor the individuals practicing it. Let's assume Oprah is using The One and doing some manipulating. She's wealthy enough to do so. She wouldn't be the first person to be doing something like this with a not-so-bright but ambitious politician.

Now, getting back to those brain dead savants who worship The One. They are the 2nd generation offspring of the Day Care System. They have been raised on video games. They have the attention spans of gnats, let alone a sugared up two year old.

If The One is the Narcissist I think he is, one of these days he is going to do something that completely destroys the faith his minions have in him. When this happens, they are going to turn their devotion elsewhere. I'm wondering if he actually needs to do something to destroy their faith. These kids have such pathetic attention spans that they are going to give up on him before long.

Cult leaders have a very short shelf life. So do TV preachers. So do young politicians who have more charisma, shiny bright teeth, and lots of hair, and not much under that hair.

Sadly for the Democrats, when the followers of The One discover they've been sold a false bill of goods, they are going to walk away from the political scene the same way millions of people in my generation did.

Remember, what goes up, must come down.
