LET'S NOT GO THERE
Henry Wickham wrote a commentary at American Thinker today comparing Barack Obama to the "Kingfish" - Huey Long. While I admit the thought is rather interesting, when does this become Obama Derangement Syndrome?
Let's be honest, Republicans did not look their best during the Clinton years. I don't know about you, but I absolutely refuse to go there this time. Beating up on a candidate during the primaries is fair game. It's politics, therefore it's war. But, now that The One is going to ascend on high and become messiah elect, maybe we should try and behave ourselves and not treat The One the way they treated Sarah Palin.
Liberals have treated George W. Bush like so much chopped liver, like abject dirt. In doing so, they have made themselves look like abject fools. There is nothing wrong with objecting to policy or behavior, but leave out the hate. It just doesn't work. In fact, it is outright disgusting.
Hate is a destroyer that eventually destroys the hater. I've reached the point where I do agree with Mike DeVine. I am not going to revile and hate Barack Obama like his followers have hated and mistreated George W. Bush. If Obama turns into the worst case scenario I will oppose him, but I will not hate him. I am praying for his soul. You cannot hate someone if you are praying for their soul.
I'm also going to attempt to refrain from passing on the most fun ODS material. There's a great one going around now, but I'm going to behave myself - as long as I possibly can.
Seriously, we need to be the adults around here. If we ever want to change the atmosphere of that is surrounding the political scene, it must start somewhere. I guess here is as good a place as any to begin.
I don't like Barack Obama.
I do not trust Barack Obama.
I think he's an empty balloon, blowing in the wind.
I do not think he is the anti-Christ.
I do not think he is going to lead a Marxist over-throw of the government.
I do not think he is the next Hitler.
I think he is seriously in over his head.
I think he is so unqualified that he is dangerous.
I think he is so empty he is scary.
We cannot give way to hate.
We must pray for this man and for our country.
We must pray for his soul.
This man is facing dark and terrible days ahead. If he does not have a soul - does not have Christ in his soul, he's going to be a national disaster. I do not want any POTUS to fail because they lack Christ. Do you?
