WEDNESDAY EDITION
In case you are living on Venus, Newsweek is attempting to slam Sarah Palin by showing a very high def closeup.  Women are of mixed opinion on the subject.  Outside the Beltway has an interesting take on it.  As a woman, if my skin looked as good as hers, bring it on!
"...Critics note that it’s pretty standard to touch up photographs, especially close-ups, to be more flattering and that Newsweek photos of Barack Obama are much nicer, with one even putting a halo on this one.

I didn’t pay much attention to the issue when it arrived in the mail yesterday.  Certainly, it’s not the best image of Palin I’ve ever seen.  If people are looking for evidence that Newsweek is trying to sabotage her, though, the cover story, not the cover, would be a better place to look...."
Can you imaging looking that good without the photo being touched up!  Wow!

This brings me to an interesting conversation I had today.  I will not reveal where I was, nor the location other than I was in a cosmetic store (buying Christmas gifts and helping the economy, contrary to what Barack Obama may think about spending money).  There were four individuals in the store other than my mother and I.  Three of them were supporting Sarah Palin, including a young man who could only be discribed as "beautiful".   All he could do was gush about how beautiful Sarah Palin is.  Evidently the Straight Talk Express stopped in the general area where I was today and our next VP did the meet and greet thing.  The bottom line - everyone who met her was captivated!

I'm seeing something that doesn't seem to be showing up in polls.  It looks like we women have made up our minds.  Sarah Palin is our choice for VP!

Cybill Shepherd is afraid of Sarah Palin.  Makes sense.  I have a little 'inside baseball' info about Cybill Shepherd.  She has the morals of Grandmommy Cat.  It makes sense that she would be terrified of Sarah Palin. No wonder some have though she is the "next" Princess Di.  Sarah Palin's related to her (and to moi)! Biden considers her "mildly" dangerous! Newsweek has bagged Palin, so to speak.  There is a reason a lot of women can't stand Palin.  (They're idiots)  David Brooks thinks she is a "cancer on the GOP".

“Mainstream” columnist Kathleen Parker is at it again.  Evidently we’re no longer looking at an objective columnist but one of those fake Republicans who are actually closet Democrats just waiting to help Republicans.  Her most recent WPost column  Call off the Pit Bull, shows just how completely out of touch Parker is with the real story line.  Let’s face it, Parker is an apologize for the Obamaites. No viable Republican who even claims to be channeling Reagan would come up with this piddle.
“…Palin's performance, notwithstanding her adorable dodges of questions she didn't like, was essentially a cri de coeur to America's non-elite.

Democrats and other critics distracted by her winks may have missed the message, but Palin's target audience heard it loud and clear. She is like the high-pitched whistle only dogs can hear. While Democrats heard non-answers, superfluous segues and cartoon words -- shout-out, I'll betcha, doggone, extra credit -- Republicans heard God, patriotism, courage, victory.

It's called code, and Republicans are fluent.
It isn't just the "maverick" word, which we now may consign to the Cliche Crematorium. Sprinkled throughout Palin's remarks were phrases that set the free associative mind in motion…It is legitimate to question character and dubious associations -- and William Ayers is certifiably dubious. The truth is, Obama should have avoided Ayers, and his denouncement of Wright was tardy. But this is a dangerous game.”
