45 BUCKS FOR FLOWERS?
Several months ago we were treated to the tale that the Obamas did not give their daughters birthday or Christmas presents.  Well, that must also apply to anniversary gifts.  Barack Obama evidently spent something like $45 for flowers the florist undercharging him $5.00 for baby's breath.  The Chicago Sun Times has a photo of the bouquet.

My gosh these are cheap selfish people.  Here the man is, running for POTUS.  He comes from Hawaii.  Couldn't he have the decency to order some exotic flowers?  You can get a great bunch for $75.  I know, I do it all the time.  Heck, I spend more than $45 for my parents for their anniversary flowers.  I think my sister and I spent about $120 for our mother's birthday last March.

To top it off, he went to a "cut rate" florest.  Then again from the photo, nah, they were crappy flowers.  I would have sent them back to the florest.  Let's face it, this wasn't about Michelle Obama and a wedding anniversary, it was about a photo op at a florest in Pennsylvania.

I don't like cheap selfish people.  I think they are jerks.  I dont like cheap selfish people.  I also don't like people who pander for votes.

"...“He said he wanted to choose some flowers for his anniversary,” said Darcy, who led Obama back to the walk-in refrigerator to look at the selection. “He was thinking about red or yellow roses, but then he decided on white roses with baby’s breath, and he was going to take them to [Michelle Obama] tonight. He was looking at the white roses and thought they were the prettiest.”.."
Then again, I think about my father who is known to spent $2 to save $1.  (It's a family joke).  He never gave my mother flowers until I strongly suggested he do so or not bother returning home for dinner.  I think it was a Valentine's day.  He's rarely bought flowers for her, but spends a heck of a lot on clothes and jewelry (when I tell him to buy the jewelry).  He's clueless. Maybe Barack Obama is one of those men, absolutely clueless.  Somehow, I don't think that's the case, especially with all that talk about flying home to Chicago for a romantic evening.

I wonder if the flowers ever made it off the plane?
