The Pink Flamingo :: A Christian Take on Things

I've never seen the kind of effect this election is having on people. Christians I know who are voting for McCain-Palin are terrified. Christians I know who will admit that they are going to vote for Obama are embarrassed. I've talked to more people today who are "terrified". One friend said she listened to about two minutes of FOX and burst into tears.

I know a number of people who are limiting their FOX viewing. It is no longer fair and balanced, but in the tank for Obama. I swear Bill O'Reilly has a man-crush on Obama. He still can't bring himself to think The One can do anything wrong. We're dealing with something quite ugly here - on so many different levels.

There are so many different levels of fear. My mother is terrified Obama is going to socialize medicine. She is 78 with a serious cardiac condition. My father is 84. In certain countries now, under socialized medicine, people their age are basically "allowed" to die in a humane fashion. Just writing these words terrifies me. My parents are very active people, planning to meet with their builder on Wednesday to discuss the plans for their new house. Will they be allowed to even live under the worst case scenario? What is going to happen to what is left of their finances (that's another story)? I've reached the point where I realize my sister and I will not be receiving an inheritance. That will be taken from us to re-distribute so some "middle class" able bodied welfare recipient so they can vote for Obama, and make him their true messiah.

I try not to sound bitter or angry. I know it is stupid, useless, and accomplishes nothing. It is against what I believe - Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, and in Everything (even Democrats) give thanks. I must cling to this. I've also found solace and wisdom in the Proverbs. I've begun reading a chapter a night. The bottom line, Barack Obama may be elected POTUS, but if he is not able to re-write the Bible in his image, then the man is not going to prosper in the long run. He is building his "kingdom" on lies, falsehoods, and duplicity. Throughout the book of Proverbs, we are warned that anyone who does this is doomed to ultimate failure.

Another thing I've begun to do - praying for his soul. I am terrified of Obama's associates and what he plans to do to my beloved country. I do not hate him. I pity him. I truly believe he is one of those in a long line of fake Christians. He believes nothing but his own arrogance and quest for power. I have begun to truly pity his wife and daughters. I do not hate him.
Hate is for the Left - and trust me, their hatred knows no bounds.

I truly resent what Barack Obama has done to this country. Instead of transcending race, he has brought us to the cusp of a nasty, violent and bloody race war. He has opened the flood gates of something truly supernaturally evil. He has allowed his supporters to give vent to the worst forces within him.

Barack Obama and his followers remind me of the Dr. Morbius' Krell in the Forbidden Planet. Something vile allowed them to unleash the demons within their darkest nature, literally destroying their race. This is what Obama has done to his followers. There is something dark, foreboding, and literally evil within him that has allowed the release of something hideous in his followers.

I've been following his 'tale' long enough to know that he conquers by threat and intimidation. Several weeks ago I listened to one prominent African American detail how Obama had assimilated his followers. Those who did not fall into line gladly were co-opted with threats of blackmail, and other hostilities and intimidation. Anyone who crosses him receives this bully treatment. He and his followers completely destroyed Hillary Clinton with their brutal assaults of misogyny. Now they are doing the same thing to Sarah Palin. There are some who think, if McCain loses, she will never recover, she has been treated so hideously and vile. This is abuse, plain and simple. A leader who allows this does not prosper - not in the long term.

At the risk of being considered something of a nut-case, I have realized I must stand on my faith and what I believe. If we are walking toward the valley of the shadow of death, then I will not fear, and I will stand up and fight for what I believe. I truly believe one of the reasons Sarah Palin has been so violently attacked by Obama and his minions in the MSM is because of her very strong faith. Even though I am an Episcopalian, I believe much the same way she does. Just writing this opens me to ridicule, but I've come to realize now is the time to stand up for what I believe.

So be it.

At the risk of being considered crazy, I am also going to state that I think there is an evil, almost demonic spirit surrounding Barack Obama. It is the same evil that enabled Hitler to exterminate the Jews. It is the same evil that allowed the extermination of tens of thousands during the French Reign of Terror. It is the same evil that was Nero and Caligula. A friend today told me it is the same evil that was in Pancho Villa and is in Hugo Chavez. It was inside of Joseph Stalin.

The evil of which I speak? It is an evil which blankets a nation and allowed the ambition, greed, and cruelty within these men to do unspeakable things, unchecked. The way I feel now, I look at people who are voting for Obama - the good, honorable people, and compare them to the normal, decent people in Germany who voted for Hitler, because they needed "change" then turned a blind eye to his atrocities.

There is a strain of atheism that runs through these men - a strain of terror, and a strain of hatred of anything good, decent and pure. One of my favorite Biblical truths is the means test: whatever is pure, good, decent, etc. comes from God. What is the opposite of this comes from the opposite of God.

This evil unleashed, that has taken a strangle-hold of liberals comes from the vast amount of money George Soros, who detests anything of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is anti-Christ. He is anti-Jewish. He has funded a vast machine of hatred. The end result must be the ruination of this nation's Judeo-Christian traditions.

Until this fall, I never truly understood how Germany, Russia, China, or any of the other nations that experienced cruel despots and a destruction of their nation as a good entity allowed forces of evil to triumph. Now I do. I just never thought it would be happening to the United States of America. I never thought people I love would be a part of it. But they are. It is happening right before our eyes. And - aside from voting, we have but one way to fight this encroaching evil - PRAYER.

The time has come to stand up for what is good, pure, right, and decent. I stand on my faith. I stand with my Lord. I stand against the forces of darkness which are invading the very psyche of this land. I refuse to allow myself to be dragged into the filthy, dispiriting mire of depression which Obama's followers have unleashed on our land. My eyes are on the Cross and the Glory of God.

I've learned a lot from my friend Carol. I've learned to turn to the protector of America and the protector of the unborn - Our Blessed Lady of Guadalupe. I take solace in the fact that John McCain visited her Holy Shrine. I pray for her protection for the unborn.

"Immaculate Heart of Mary, Heart of my Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, I unite to thy purity, thy sanctity, thy zeal and thy love, all my thoughts, words, acts, and sufferings this day, that there may be nothing in me that does not become through thee, a pleasure to Jesus, a gain to souls, and an act of reparation for the offenses against thy Heart...Remember, O most gracious Virgin of Guadalupe, that in your apparitions on Mount Tepeyac you promised to show pity and compassion to all who, loving and trusting you, seek your help and protection.

Accordingly, listen now to our supplications and grant us consolation and relief. We are full of hope that, relying on your help, nothing can trouble or affect us. As you have remained with us through your admirable image, so now obtain for us the graces we need. Amen."

A Prayer for Abortion Victims

Prayer for all victims of abortion. May those involved in abortions be reconciled to God and may the innocent dead be saved.

Holy Mother of God and of the Church, our Lady of Guadalupe, you were chosen by the Father for the Son through the Holy Spirit.
You are the Woman clothed with the sun who labors to give birth to Christ while Satan, the Red Dragon, waits to voraciously devour your child.

So too did Herod seek to destroy your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and massacred many innocent children in the process. So today does abortion killing many innocent unborn children and exploiting many mothers in its attack upon human life and upon the Church, the Body of Christ.

Mother of the Innocents, we praise God in you for His gifts to you of your Immaculate Conception, your freedom from actual sin; your fullness of grace, your Motherhood of God and the Church, your Perpetual Virginity and your Assumption in body and soul into heaven.

O Help of Christians, we beg you to protect all mothers of the unborn and the children within their wombs. We plead with you for your help to end the holocaust of abortion. Melt hearts so that life may be revered!

Holy Mother, we pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all mothers and all unborn children that they may have life here on earth and by the most Precious Blood shed by your Son that they may have eternal life with Him in heaven. We also pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all abortionists and all abortion supporters that they may be converted and accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. Defend all of your children in the battle against Satan and all of the evil spirits in this present darkness.

We desire that the innocent unborn children who die without Baptism should be baptized and saved. We ask that you obtain this grace for them and repentance, reconciliation and pardon from God for their parents and their killers.

Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite power of merciful love. May it put an end to evil. May it transform consciences. May your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope. May Christ the King reign over us, our families, cities, states, nations and the whole of humanity.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, hear our pleas and accept this cry from our hearts!
