It's like this. We're dealing with a Democratic candidate who is so arrogant and so sure of himself he's starting to show his hand. Barack Obama's greatest weakness is the fact that he does not know the American people. He has no grasp about America, our history, our goodness, and just who and what we are.

Richard Minitar has an interesting commentary on the doom and gloom that has been thrust upon the GOP by a willing MSM and the tendency to basically doctor the polls to make it appear that Barack Obama is running away with the election. Maybe he is and I'm a delusional fool, but I can't help but think something else is going on. I've watched politics all my life. I know when polls are good, bad, and ugly. These are bad.

Barack Obama is an arrogant bucket of sniveling snot. He's not bright. He is a puppet being manipulated by someone. The man is incapable of pulling all of this off on his own. His handlers are keeping a tight hold on him now, but left alone to his devices, he has the potential to blow this whole mess by just being - well - Barack Obama.

The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.
By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.
The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.
Mr. Odinga had the backing of Kenya’s Muslim community heading into the election. For months he denied any ties to Muslim leaders, but fell silent when Sheik Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, appeared on Kenya television displaying a memorandum of understanding signed on Aug. 29, 2007, by Mr. Odinga and the Muslim leader. Mr. Odinga then denied his denials.
The details of the MOU were shocking. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of “Islam as the only true religion,” Islamic leaders would have an “oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions [emphasis in original],” installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who “allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists,” adoption of a women’s dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork...."

The Obama Campaign has literally threatened McCain if he continues to "spread" racist lies about Obama and his little friends. According to Joe Biden, McCain will regret his attacks for the rest of his life.

I subscribe to the Episcopal devotional, Forward Day By Day, which comes directly to my in-box. October 16 features my favorite verses, and the code I attempt to live by:
"...Paul was rejected, ridiculed, persecuted, and even imprisoned for his faith. He did not travel to Rome as a tourist or missionary, but as a prisoner, with the prospect of trial looming. The ship had to sail in unfavorable weather and the forces of nature threatened constantly. Paul's advice to delay the journey went unheeded. A fierce storm forced the crew to toss cargo and tackle overboard. Lives were at risk. Despite danger, distress, and disturbances, Paul followed his own advice in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to "give thanks in all circumstances" (as verse 35 from today's passage of Acts indicates).
