THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16
Today someone asked how my visit was with the relatives in Denver. I replied that we went shopping, but I bought no shoes. Leroy looked askew. I explained to him that in my family, a visit or a reunion takes place at the local shopping mall or visiting new stores. What can I say, I come from a long line of shoppers!

Did you happen to catch John McCain's performance at the Al Smith dinner this evening? Now we know why the late night comedians truly dislike him. He's a heck of a lot funnier than they are! He proved what a gracious individual he is. What is fascinating is the fact that he appeared to receive more applause than The One. Is that A Sign? Barack Obama bombed. But the very worst thing Sarah Palin has done yet occurred in Elon, North Carolina. Quite frankly, I don't think there is anything wrong with Sarah Palin and her "special base"? Do you? Evidently it's not all the thing. This is just reason #1,000,001 while I support Sarah Palin!

AN ABUSED CHILDHOOD?
Granted there are times when I delight in delivering a cheap shot at Barack Obama. He is such a deserving target. This is not one of those times. I've previously written that I believe Barack Obama was severely abused as a boy. People who have been sexually abused as children fall into three catagories as survivors.

THERE IS NO HOPE
I am going on record that I think we're still going to win. I am seeing things that are very encouraging. I am being accosted by women who see my "Palin" button and come over to say, something like 'this time I'm voting for her!' Let me say that differently.
