COUNTING CHICKENS TOO SOON?
John McCain had a cute little comment in his Monday stump speech about the Obama's measuring for their new White House drapes. The poll numbers are starting to be all over the place, but they are all showing The One in the lead. Two weeks ago I was depressed. Maybe I've accepted the inevitable. Maybe, though, I have a little bit of hope. After watching Obama and his supporters, I am once again positive The One is smoke and mirrors, and most of those mirrors are broken. He's a fake. His supporters are idiots. Some are outright criminals, but that's another post. No Quarter has one of the best commentaries about Obama I've seen to date.
Don't think I've accepted the fact that Obama is going to win. I don't think he is. I sense a movement in the Force....something I've not experienced since Obi Wan Reagan ran the first time. If he does win, I will complain and bitch and my mother will once again ban me from mentioning politics anywhere near her the way she did in 1992 when Bill Clinton was elected. My usually mild mannered language became so bad, politics and news shows were banned by my mother.
AJ Strata is playing with the polls. If I read his work correctly, maybe the Obamas should not be measuring for those drapes so quickly. Perhaps one of the reasons is NORMAL Americans are beginning to see through Obama's financial plans, which the WSJ exposes. Is it possible the recent disaster on Wall Street is because traders are terrified of Obama's economic policies.
"...No one can blame the faltering stock market solely on Obama's tax plans or McCain's own inanity on economic issues. But stock prices reflect current market conditions plus best guesses of what's coming down the road. And I keep hearing nervous traders and investors talk about "a lack of leadership from Washington."..."
FUN CHEAP SHOT
Have you ever wondered about the relationship between Barack Obama and Fidel Castro? An even more funner cheap shot is the following question: Did the Tim Mahoney story come out now to divert attention from Obama's little female problem?
THE POLLS
Jay Cost has a mind bending commentary about Gallup. He lost me after the 2nd paragraph. MacsMind has a poll update. Another one of those mind-numbing studies comes from DJ Drummond. All of these good poll numbers for The One could be a mote point if The One can not pull out the rural vote.
THE SUPPORTERS
JR Dunn writes in the American Thinker
"...A terrorist bomber, what may be the largest vote-fraud operation in history, and a political party calling for a socialist revolution in the United States. Obama has certainly been a busy little bee -- though not too busy, it seems, to cover his tracks in all three cases. As well he might -- anybody with such a history has a few questions to answer. And Obama knows this full well, considering the effort he's put into ducking those exact questions since his campaign began.
But those questions must be asked and answered before November 4th. Which, needless to say, is a job for Superwoman. Sarah Palin's relentless hammering brought the Ayers story back to the surface. She must now tie the three strands together: Ayers, ACORN, the New Party, and pound at it until it can no longer be ignored. (Of course, this will be an extremely upsetting experience for Kathleen Parker and David Brooks, but that can't be helped.)
If the three can be bundled, and the resulting package adequately presented to the American people, Barack Obama is through. American voters have made it clear time and again that they have no use for the political extremes of either left or right. Obama plainly suffers, at best, from a weakness for crackpot left-wing politics, and at worst from a yearning to create a revolutionary situation in American society. The first reveals an immature personality, one easily led and given to romantic concepts of how the world works. The second is evidence of serious maliciousness...."
