HOW ABOUT IMMIGRATION REFORM?
I find a bit amusing the hysteria the conservative blogsphere is now attaching to Ron Paul. There are a few of us who have been the voices in the wilderness, crying out that Ron Paul was actively associated with some very bad people. Not only has he associated with them, but he has adopted their nativist anti-immigration stance. If the messenger is tainted, what about the message?
Ron Paul is hailed as the heroic restorer of the Republic, a Constitutional powerhouse, determined to return America to Americans. He is Superman celebrating Truth, Justice & the American Way. Now that The New Republic has exposed Ron Paul in all his glory, the world is standing up to pay attention.
LIBERTARIANS EXPOSED
The New Republic piece goes farther, doing what is needed, running a stake into the heart of the vampire like visage of the anti-immigration libertarians, taking out the Ludwig von Mises Institute and Lew Rockwell along with Paul. This is terribly important because the libertarians of that ilk are the most vocal anti-immigration conservatives there are, masquerading as Republicans. These are the individuals who have taken the forefront in the anti-immigration battle, propelling it to a status that it truly does not deserve. There is this Bride of Frankenstein marriage between the forces of hate, libertarians, the far out right, the Neo-Nazis, and the “respectable” far right who pretends to ignore and hold their nose when they associate with these people. Why? Immigration. Your rank and file conservative is not a racist, and is not part of the American Nationalist mindset.
CLOAKED IN THE CONSTITUTION
The libertarian, white supremacist, pro-Constitution (I don’t get that one), Ron Paul supporters are wrapping themselves in the Constitution. Part of this is involved with the Constitution Party, and Chuck Baldwin .
Another part of this is the anti North American Union Wacko bunch. Ever Vigilant is another Ron Paul wacko site. Grassfire. Org News With Views
IMMIGRATION IS THE TICKET
My problem with this whole thing, aside from the fact that anyone who defends Ron Paul and his nasty associates is delusional. The organizations and web sites who support Paul are some of the primary manipulators of the entire anti-immigration movement. There is a tangled web of malice, nativism, and racism all linking through Ron Paul. Don’t ever write him off as an innocent bystander. He is not.

“…So basically what all this means is that Ron Paul is a Timothy McVee, anti-government, hate monger, rather than the elderly gentleman with libertarian views we’ve all been led to believe he is. I was apparently wrong to give Paul the benefit of the doubt, when I posted pictures of him standing with notorious Neo-Nazi leader Don Black and his Nazi son. Since the picture was taken at a campaign rally, I said it would be unfair for me to think he had any idea who he was having his picture taken with. I have serious doubts at this point that it’s all a coincidence that Don Black, and various Ku Klux Klan organizations are Ron Paul donors, and he just mistakenly had his picture taken with Black. The fact is that over the last 10 years, the various hate groups in this country have been undergoing a transformation. They’ve been trying to blend inconspicuously into society and keep there racist views largely hidden, enabling them to get people elected to office who can change America from within.
The Southern Poverty Law Center which tracks hate groups in America has a great deal of information regarding this transformation. Whether or not Ron Paul’s intentions were aligned with these groups is debatable, but for whatever reason these groups believe Ron Paul share’s their twisted vision.
