A NASTY ALLIANCE OF HATE
Sheriff Joe is campaigning for Mitt Romney. He’s campaigning with Tom Tancredo, who is fighting to protect the nation from those nasty immigrants. Funny thing, but the nativist right isn’t too happy with either Tancredo or Gilchrist. Evidently Romney is just as bad as McCain and Giuliani because he is a ‘globalist’. The only hope? Ron Paul. (oye)
From the Blogger News Network The main reason Sheriff Joe is campaigning for Romney is because of his hatred of John McCain
“…The Sheriff maintains his own force of “immigration” deputies who can be found working off duty for local business owners who support the sheriffs political machine. Polls now show McCain and Romney in a dead heat for New Hampshire’s republican delegates. The Bad blood between “Boss” Arpaio and the Senior Senator from Arizona dates back nearly a decade. Senator McCain is the single GOP politician in Arizona’s congressional delegation who is not a product of or beholden to Arpaios state wide political machine. Last Novembers midterm route of republicans from the congress and State house was a serious set back to the Bosses grip on Arizona. I speculate the elderly Arpaio who’s political empire is built on a foundation of corruption, intimidation, blackmail and infamous “death while in custody” incidents…”
The Politico on Romney and Immigration. We must also note that The Politico is having a bit of a credibility problem of late.
Byron York wrote about McCain and Romney on Amnesty
“…With that, the issue became not whether McCain’s plan was or was not amnesty but whether Romney had or had not called it amnesty. And jaws dropped at McCain headquarters. “What got us all going was when Governor Romney said, ‘We never called what you did amnesty,’“ said McCain confidante Sen. Lindsey Graham said. “Look on TV. Look in your mailbox in New Hampshire. John’s been pounded by Governor Romney with that charge. I was just dumbstruck.”
Indeed, after the debate, McCain aides produced a Romney mailing which said “John McCain: Supports Amnesty.” An e-mail from the Romney campaign earlier in the day referred to McCain’s “amnesty plan.” And a new Romney TV ad featured Romney supporters saying McCain “supported amnesty for illegal immigrants” and “wrote the amnesty bill.” In light of that, it is hard to see how Romney was being straight when he said he didn’t “describe [McCain’s] plan as amnesty.” After the debate, Romney’s spokesman, Kevin Madden, choosing his words carefully, said McCain favored “an amnesty-like approach.”…”
While voters in New Hampshire and elsewhere may be excited about the impending visit from America’s Favorite Incompetent Sheriff of Notthingham, he is probably there simply to try and avenge himself on his arch-enemy John McCain. Sheriff Joe is also egotistical enough to think he can make a difference outside of Maricopa County, which has become a haven for white supremacists and a few misc. neo-Nazis, including Russell Pierce, who Sheriff Joe now supports. One of Sheriff Joe’s favorite tactics is to take revenge on anyone who has the unmitigated gall to oppose him. He did it to his last opponent Rick Saban. He is attempting the same tactic right now. He has no regard for the Constitution.
CONSERVATIVES BEHAVING BADLY
Steve Maloney
points out that some Huckabee supporters are now threatening not to support the GOP winner.
I don’t think any conservative is as annoying as Hugh Hewitt. He is attacking John McCain over his immigration history. My concern is the fact that conservative ideologues like Hewitt and Limbaugh are so full of their irrational and sick hatred of John McCain over his CORRECT version of immigration reform that they would rather have a Democrat win.
