OBAMA'S LIBERAL VALUES
“If you are having a hard time deciding between Obama and being a Republican, you've got a personal problem, because you're not listening to Obama…” Lindsey Graham
THE HONEYMOON
The press and the pundits are having a sickening sweet, gushing honey-moon with Barack Obama. They remind me of a sports-caster covering the World Series after a team is down by two games. All of a sudden they start piling on and gushing about the team that is ahead. They're doing the same thing with Obama, even the conservatives. Obama is the second coming of JFK. He is the second coming of MLK. He is charm personified. They all want to work for him, kiss his feet, and do his bidding. It has reached the point where I'm starting to feel sorry for Hillary! Of course it could be the fact that by beating up on Hillary now, they are 'saving' her from that treatment during the general election,
DON’T TANGLE WITH O’REILLY
There is something I do not like about the Barack Obama campaign. Maybe I’m so much of a vile disgusting individual that I don’t like masses of people. I don’t like crowds, and I don’t like enthusiastic mobs of people who are barely under control. The little bit I saw and heard of Obama’s supporters in Iowa during the caucuses made me shudder. It was a yelling, screaming, cheering, out of control group of people. Scary stuff.
Today we hear that Obama’s goons messed with O’Reilly in a NH rally. I’m giving O’Reilly the benefit of the doubt here, not because I dislike Obama, intensely, but because I don’t’ think O’Reilly would lie about something like this. If O’Reilly has shoved Obama’s goon why did the candidate in question go over to O’Reilly and consent to a brief interview?
BOOING HILLARY
Then his backers booed Hillary at a dinner last night. Watch the video. There is nothing I dislike more than defending Hillary, not that she needs it. I think the Obama people are a little ticked with Hillary for criticizing him. Like I mentioned the other day (I think) it’s okay to criticize everyone in the race but Ron Paul and Barack Obama. Strange company, isn’t it?
I AM ENDORSING HILLARY
Okay, I am officially endorsing Hillary for the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States. She’s beatable. It’s like this, guys, quit picking on her – wait a minute, pick on her. She’s at her best as a victim! I do agree with the latest from The Moderate Voice that Bill would love to sandbag her campaign.
1972 ALL OVER AGAIN
I just see a 1972 scenario developing within Obama’s youthful supporters. Already conspiracy theories are starting to circulate, including this rather disgusting one. Glenn Greenwald at Salon picks up on a really pathetic comment by Jonah Goldberg and Glenn Reynolds predicting social unrest if Obama loses in November. Yikes, shades of “his people”? I think there are connotations that “Blacks will rise up” and riot if Obama loses. Aren’t we over that already yet. First they antagonize the entire GOP Hispanic voting block, now they’ve decided to insult Black voters. At least they are consistent.
“…But if Obama is really the nominee, and is the one standing in the way between the Right and ongoing control of the Government, the idea that there's going to be civility and respect is pure delusion. Rush Limbaugh's continuous race-based mockery of Obama and the types of "warnings" issued here by Goldberg and Reynolds of the social unrest "Obama supporters" will cause is but the tip of the rancid iceberg [just the other day, Reynolds promoted a post warning that an Obama win (like a Huckabee win) will mean "the jihadis will not have done too badly"]. From a Free Republic posting after Obama's Iowa victory:…”
Can I just scream now and bang my head against the wall. I’ve been trying to give some of these people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their anti-immigration nativism, but let’s face it, these people are clueless, if not down-right racist. Sure they pat Michael Steel on the back and trot out Ken Blackwell, but let’s just face facts, we have a few conservatives who have a problem.
Hot Air
I can see a 1972 McGovern style melt-down, with some problems, but it won’t be from Blacks, it will be the spoiled, 2nd generation day-care, manner-less white kids who don’t know how to behave in public, let alone have any table manners.
Jon Swift
“…The other big winners were white voters and white members of the party establishment. By voting for Barack Obama, they were able to prove that they are not racist. The fact that Obama is young, charismatic, inspiring, a mesmerizing speaker, has fresh ideas and appeals across the partisan divide will make no difference in the general election where it is a well-known fact that the American people will be afraid to vote for a black man with a funny name who is inexperienced and might secretly be a Muslim. By letting him win this one, and giving us a historic moment that we can tell our grandchildren about, we can all feel better about ourselves. Of course, it would be too much of a risk to actually nominate him until sometime in the future when America is ready -- maybe in 2032 when he is only 70, a year younger than McCain is now….”
EEEKKKKKKEEEKKKKK- Head Pounding Against Wall !
LORD HAVE MERCY!
Shut up already yet about Obama’s skin tone and take him out over his liberal views and abject lack of experience. Don’t’ hand him the election – unless, and it does fit my theory – CONSERVATIVES DO NOT WANT GIULIANI OR MCCAIN TO WIN. I think conservatives would rather set up a major political loss to feather their nests and put money in their bank accounts as pundits and hysterical radio talk show hosts than they would see Giuliani or McCain win.
Shut up about the race already yet. Take him out over the fact that he wants to cut tail and run in Iraq leaving it to the enemy.
LINDSEY ON OBAMA
Lindsey did an interview with the National Journal, discussing Iowa and the results. These are his comments about Barack Obama.
“…If you are having a hard time deciding between Obama and being a Republican, you've got a personal problem, because you're not listening to Obama. The Democrats -- many of them are my friends -- make Hugo Chavez look moderate. They've gone so far left here, they dance to the tune of MoveOn.org. Senator Obama, Clinton and all these folks are afraid to cross Moveon.org -- when they attacked General Petraeus they didn't say a word about it. They're trying to get out of Iraq faster than the other without thinking about the consequence. So if you're looking at the difference between Republican candidates and Obama, pick an issue and I can show you the difference between -- taxation and you name it. Obama is an attractive figure. He is an articulate, well-spoken, sincere person. But I don't think he's ready to be president of the United States, because the job is demanding, and if you're looking for experience that matters, I think you're going to be looking to John McCain, whether you are Republican, Independent, or Democrat….”
