Michelle Malkin really stepped in it this time, out-right lying about the Financial Co-Chair of John McCain’s campaign. She may have made a serious miscalculation by attacking one of the wealthiest men in the world. Let’s face it, this is just another hack hit from Malkin’s handlers, the anti-immigration haters of anything Hispanic. The way you tell is by going to the nasty MULTICULTURAL” word. It links to a Mark Kirkorian (read John Tanton shill) hit piece in NRO. The whole basis of Malkin's entire weekend of Conservative Big Mac Attacking is her extreme and increasingly pathetic version of immigration reform. You gotta love the timing of this specific attack. Ironic, isn't it? She tries to make Jerry Perenchio look like someone who is liberal and donates primarily to Democratic and liberal causes when he has given several million dollars in campaign donations, primarily to Republican causes and candidates.

I also wonder who is issuing talking points for all our precious narcissistic conservative talking heads. Today's Conservative Big Mac Attack is way too coordinated.

Michelle Malkin is big into the whole anti-immigration movement, which is spear-headed by John Tanton, who is a mega-supporter of Planned Parenthood. Our duplicitous little anti-Hispanic, Peter Brimelow, Steve Sailer supporting ultra conservative wonk, writes this in her column today.

Please remind me again why Sam Brownback refused to support Tom Tancredo and called him out over his sources.

I do believe Perenchio was right when it came to Proposition 227. Wasn’t that the one that basically killed the GOP in California? OH, wait, that’s right, ideological conservatives and anti-immigration supporters like Malkin don’t give a rip about the GOP, just their ideology.

According to Open Sources, Perenchio is one of the top donors to the Progress for America Fund I find it rather ironic that Perenchio is condemned for his support for this organization, which is Republican and conservative.

MET HER MATCH?
I think the bottom line here is John McCain is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of people like Michelle Malkin going for the throat of anyone who doesn’t believe the way she does, especially when it comes to immigration reform. Her attack of Perenchio is almost pointedly racist in nature, taking him out because he owns a Hispanic-language media empire.

Along with Bud Yorkin, he also owns the rights to the film Blade Runner, as his bond completion company took ownership of the film when it went over its budget. The film was one of the first issued on DVD, but the transfer from film stock was of poor quality, and was soon deleted. For many years, Perenchio refused to allow any new DVD edition of Blade Runner, including a planned 2001 Special Edition, to be issued.

Prior to his work at Univision, he (along with Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin) presided over Tandem Productions/Embassy Television (which oversaw major television hits like Maude, All in the Family, and Diff'rent Strokes). The company sold to Coca-Cola in 1985 (who at the time was the parent of Columbia Pictures, now owned by Sony) for $485 million in Coke shares which later doubled. Sony continues to own the Tandem/ELP catalog. Perenchio was also the founder of the ON-TV UHF subscription television service that existed from 1977-1985, when cable television gained enough market share to eliminate most of the pay TV services.

In 1985 Perenchio acquired Loews Theaters from the Tisch family for $160 million and sold it barely over one year later for over $300 million to Tri-Star Pictures; the first instance of a movie studio owning movie theaters since the passage of the 1955 Paramount consent decree which had originlly stripped the movie companies of their theaters. In late 1990, at the invitation of his former partner Norman Lear he took over the management of Act III Communications, replacing the four founding entrepreneurs with his own team. While making no changes to Act III, they sold off the holdings in 1994/95, generating over a $500 million profit from Lear's original $65 million investment.

Perenchio's crowning achievement in business terms is perhaps his acquisition and sale of Univision Television, the dominant Spanish language TV network in the USA. Perenchio originally attempted to acquire Univision in 1986 but was edged out by Hallmark at approximately $500mm who later drowned in debt and filed for bankruptcy. In 1992, in collaboration with Mexican media mogul Emilio Azcarraga, Perenchio took over Univision for $500mm. In 2006 Perenchio announced the sale of Univision to an investor group led by Madison Dearborn Partners for $13.5 billion…..”

Now, according to what I’ve found about Perenchio, he can be ruthless. I think maybe Michelle Malkin has finally bitten off a little more than she can chew. This man can buy and sell the entire anti-immigration movement. Having a spitting contest, so to speak, with Geraldo Rivera is one thing. Defaming one of the richest men in the world is another.

Funny how everyone Malkin seems to take out has a tendency to have stood up for Hispanics and immigrants. If she had less of a track record of opposing anything and anyone who is Hispanic I might give her the benefit of the doubt. Those days are over. It is time to invoke the Great American Philosopher, “and call ‘am as I seem ‘em”. The billionaire in question is condemned by three things:
1. He is supporting John McCain
2. He rightfully opposed a racist attempt to silence an entire group of people
3. He owns the largest Hispanic speaking media empire in the country

In Malkin's anti-McCain, anti-Hispanic world, three strikes and this man is out!
