SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2

The 2 millionth hit countdown continues.  Just 9234 to go!  I know it isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, but for me it is.  I’m quite pleased, exp. since The Pink Flamingo won’t be 2 years old until the first week of October.

There’s not much cat news to report.  Mommy Cat is still in heat.  Doc is having a ‘down time’ day.  She is finding that the constant pressure of campaigning is starting to take a toll on her cat-tatude.  Rumsfeld is doing the “Odie” thing today.  Okay, he’s cute.

I was at the 1990 Dragoncon (promoting actual space exploration). I seem to remember being in a panel.   I was also representing artist Doug Chaffee (incredible stuff) who did the program cover.  Tom Clancy bought the original, and I took the painting up to his estate in Maryland.  Clancy signed a few artist proofs of the print Doug made.  I have the “final” signed AP.  The most memorable moment that year was some guy dressed up like Alien, crossing Peachtree.   The con is monster huge now! I can't see how it could possibly be any fun now.

THE COLOR OF CLEMSON FOOTBALL
The color of Clemson football, so they say, is not Orange, it’s GREEN, as in $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.  The “fan” group is called IPTAY.  It originally stood for “I Pay Ten A Year”.  Now, evidently it more like “I Pay A Thousand A Year”.  

These are the times I am embarrassed to admit I attended Clemson.
