Ron Paul is now on the record stating he feels shopping mall security guards are more effective than our heroic US Marines in Iraq.  This is disgusting.  It is vile.  It sickens me.  He is basically denigrating the men and women who are giving their all to preserve our freedom. In other words, Ron Paul thinks the Al Bundys of the world are more effective than highly trained soldiers.  

RON PAUL IS NO ‘REAL TEXAN’
My next question:  Why the heck do the people of the 14th Congressional District in Texas (Galveston, Texas city, Alvin, Lake Jackson, etc) keep re-electing this little piss-ant of a twit who is a Henry Gibson look alike from the old Laugh-In Years. (and that’s the truth).  Isn’t anyone in the 14th District GOP starting a Dump Ron Paul Campaign? This man is an embarrassment to Texas.  This sniveling little wimp of a twerp no more embodies the Texas I have seen and the Texans I know than Taos resident Julia Roberts embodies New Mexico!

The worst insult I know to hurl at a Texan is to say they are not a ‘real’ Texan.  George W. Bush is a ‘real’ Texan.  My father’s former business partner is a ‘real’ Texan.  My friend James Wright is a ‘real’ Texan.  Quite frankly, I am a bit jealous.  There’s something special about Texans in comparison to the inhabitants of other states.  There’s a swagger, a sense of honor, and a Lone Star patriotism that puts their love of Texas ahead of anything else.  They are big men, literally and figuratively with their hats, cowboy boots, and belt-buckles.  They “yehaw” when the music starts, and wax poetic over their love of America.  Most of them will have a gun somewhere if not on them.  They revel in their heritage and pride themselves on their honest, honorable and deceptively simplistic outlook in life.  

RON PAUL IS NO TEXAN

Today I am theme blogging:  The Death of Civility in America both from the Right and the Left.  I’ve been blogging for nearly two years.  I began blogging because of an increasingly militant growth of a far right agenda I saw coming out of people who were once Republicans.  Something nasty is going on here.  When the Washington Times (the conservative’s bible) is edited by known racists with white supremacist and neo-Nazi ties is calling the shots, I don’t know what else we can expect.  I don’t expect the left to be have decently.  I demand it of the right.

DEMINT TO JUMP SHIP?
Something is going on with Newt Gingrich, Jim DeMint and Mitt Romney.  Warren Tompkins, the author of the anti-Fred web site, was (and I stress WAS) Jim DeMint’s primary political advisor who has been very publicly disavowed these past few days.  With the recent announcement of DeMint’s new association with Newt Gingrich, I am wondering if he is getting ready to dump Romney in favor of Newt?  Is this an indication that Newt is going to be announcing soon?

Is this a campaign or a “movement” The next question – what does Jim DeMint have to do with it?  Is he getting ready to ditch Romney?  Was the loss of Warren Tompkins, DeMint’s political advisor the last straw?  Remember, Romney has been behaving badly in SC.  DeMint is his highest profile supporter there.  If DeMint jumps ship, Romney is in deep dodo in SC.
