THE GREAT CAT SOAP OPERA
This afternoon Doc Holiday and Bat Masterson had a show-down.  It wasn’t done with six-shooters on the streets of Dodge City, but on my dining room table, atop what must be a very alluring few sheets of chartreuse tissue paper!  Instead, there was much hissing, and some hurt feelings.  Bat Masterson won.  Doc Holiday has been sleeping it off, obviously pouting.  I just noticed that she evidently took it out on Rumsfeld, taking his bed away from him!  She’s put him in the bed at the end of the dining room and she has the one closest to me.

Okay, I find this rather humorous.  Conservatives have started feeding on their own.  I knew it was going to happen.  This comes from Heading Right.  Seems the extreme right folk over at Free Republic are now considering a defamation lawsuit against O’Reilly and FOX news.

FUNDS FOR THE NEWARK VICTIMS
Several funds have been set up for the victims of the Newark murders.
First there is a fund for the families to assist with the funeral services.  Delaware State has established a scholarship fund in the memory of three of the victims -- Terrance Aeriel, 18, Dashon Harvey, 20; and Iofemi Hightower, 20.  I can find nothing that has been established to assist Natasha Aeriel.  She is going to need a lot of help.  When you think about her injuries, being slashed in the face, the scarring both physically and mentally, and just 19 year old – it makes me shudder at the brutality of it all.

Is there a fund to help Natasha?  She is going to need plastic surgery, make-up, hair-styling, clothes.  I’m looking at it from a woman’s point of view.  Scholarship funds are nice, but something needs to be established with money so she can rebuild her life.  I look at the 19 year old girls I know here and think about their lives.  She’s a girl.  She was once very pretty.  Can you imagine the hit her self-esteem  has taken?  She is obviously a very courageous person, but courage isn’t going to cut it at midnight when she turns on the bathroom light and looks at her face.

Now, how do we get her some help?
